On 7-25-2025, my Pokestop submission Rock Spring Sculpture was approved. I do not see it on my game. On my map, it does not appear. However, i have received Pokestop gifts from friends, from that particular Pokestop.
Is there a reason why i cannot see this Pokestop, but other do?
Hi, I moved this to General Discussion . Generally this doesn’t happen without a removal or a move. To offer a useful answer, we’d need to know more - such as, have you visited the location where it was approved in the past at all, for example shortly after approval? Or only recently?
It could be of limited use but if you could share the coordinates where your submission was located (they are visible in your submission email) they could help try to tentatively explain what happened.
Unfortunately i do not have have the approval email, any longer. I have visited that spot many times since the approval. Almost every couple of weeks. The attached screen shots may help you for the location.

Thanks. If I’m reverse engineering your pin correctly, this would be sharing a cell with “Bitter Creek & Western Model Railway” (41.587604,-109.218646), which by the looks of it is possibly what used to be located at the “Freight Station” visible in your pictures, and you would probably be able to confirm if it’s live in Pokémon GO.
Unfortunately that’s data from May 2025. If your wayspot indeed hasn’t been live in Pokémon GO at any point (and your pin hasn’t been moved in review, the object that doesn’t really appear to be there anymore hasn’t been removed and the cell is indeed still blocked), I’m not sure why something like that would happen. You could take a screenshot of a gift next time you see one and share here.

The bitter creek model railway is no longer located in the freight station buiding

Cool, thank you for showing the current state of things. Indeed this doesn’t look like any of my initial theories. For what it’s worth, I have heard of situations where Pokémon GO buddies bring gifts from Power Spots or wayspots that are otherwise not live in Pokémon GO. Could be the explanation for those gifts you got.
Im not familiar with wayspots or power sopts.
So, does this mean that others see and can collect gifts from the Pokestop but ill never see it or be able to collect gifts from it?
Have you been standing there with someone who can actually see the pokestop that you cannot see? There have been weird cases reported where a buddy pokemon can bring back gifts from a Pokestop that is not in game. It is unusual for this to happen. Trainers should all be able to see a Pokestop if anyone can see it.

You play Pokémon GO, presumably you’ve already interacted with Power Spots. It’s where the Dynamax/Gigantamax stuff happens. But it doesn’t really matter for our purposes here.
I use the term wayspot because we are on the Wayfarer forum. It’s the all-encompassing definition of every object that made it into the Wayfarer database. Some of them are also eligible to be Pokéstops, some are not. It is the case of yours that got approved. Pokéstops, when they do make it in-game, are the same for everyone.
It’s unlikely that there is a hidden Pokéstop somewhere that’s hidden to you and visible to other people. There are glitches sometimes that will generate gifts without there being a live Pokéstop. That’s a possible explanation.

I found a case of an appearing and disappearing stop that Niantic staff fixed:
I would appreciate it, if he could fix this issue…or at least, try.
If your nomination is ald correctly in the same cell with another nomination, there is nothing to do.
Regarding buddy bring gift from unused wayspot is another matter but i dont think its wayfarer issue. You may need to bring this to pogo.
But personally i dont think its issue in the first place.

While some nominations may be deemed eligible by the community of reviewers on Niantic Wayfarer for inclusion into Niantic’s location database, they may not necessarily be added into every Niantic game. After a nomination is approved by reviewers, there is an additional automated review that determines whether the nomination is an appropriate fit for each particular Niantic game. Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another.
The most common reason that an eligible nomination is not added to Pokémon GO is because the nomination is too close to existing PokéStops or Gyms. If an existing game location is removed or the criteria changes, the nomination may appear within Pokémon GO at a later time.
Please keep in mind that while this is a common reason, it is not the only one.
Our records show that this Wayspot was never live as a PokéStop in the game. There must be some confusion.

Unfortunately, i did not screen cap the gift from that Pokestop…three times…because I thought it was finally live. When I went downtown and found it wasn’t on my map, I knew something was up.
I know that I did not dream it, hallucinate it, or imagine it.
Somethings going on and I am hoping that particular friend will send another gift, so I can screen cap it and show you.

and this other one in the L17 S2 cell is a pokestop (or gym)?
An oddity which might be relevant - the background of the “Rock Springs sculpture” is not the same as for the “Ampersand Sculpture/Mural”, although it appears to be the same sculpture.
Has the sculpture physically been moved?
Has the wayspot been renamed or are these two different wayspots?
