Prior to the renewal, Wayfarer was often rejected for reasons such as refusal and objections that could not be understood even if the translator was turned on.
But when I went in today, it turned into something that looked clearly translated. It’s really good.
Please come into the text and take a look at the picture.
An acquaintance of mine applied for Wayspot in the past, and he got the first warning from Wayfarer.
But at that time, there was no reason for that as written above. If it was written according to the reason in the picture above, I would have requested the withdrawal of the unfair warning at the time, right?
No matter who looks at it, it is clear that the playground submitted it to Wayfarer.
However, the reason for the rejection is that the photo or text is written to include abusive language, ridicule, and harassment against a particular person or group.
Because of this unwarranted warning, all games and Wayfarer services offered by Niantic will be restricted for 30 days, so Wayfarer will no longer be used thereafter.
What do you think about this?
Is there no way to withdraw this unjust warning?
(We also add photos of the pavilion in the playground.)
Did you receive a warning email? Screenshots of nominations don’t really help any of us, as we have no say in warnings/bans; only staff has the info. You also didn’t post the supporting info, as the rejection reason covers photos and/or text, and it would be good to see that.
Also, have you appealed the warning? You can do so at the following link if it is Wayfarer related:
Warnings can be given by the games, too, not just Wayfarer, and it’s hard to say just from what you’ve posted where the warning came from.
I’ve checked it now. I asked my acquaintance to find the old still mail in gmail, capture it, and send it to me. I’ll share it with you as soon as I get it.
And as I told you above.. In the first place, the reason for rejection of that photo was not above. It was renewed and marked like that, so of course, I didn’t appeal at that time. I’m also well aware of the link you gave me.
But in the first place, do you think the reason for the rejection of the above photo (the photo or text includes swearing, ridicule, and bullying of a particular person or group?) is correct??
Again, you didn’t provide the full nomination, including the supporting texts and photos, and it’s possible there could be an isdue there.
Offensive texts and photos don’t have to be the main photos, titles, or description; they could be anywhere in the nomination. Seeing the full nominations will help us better try to understand why it was rejected as such.
Also keep in mind that there’s not much that staff dan assist with, since your friend received the warning, not you. Staff can only discuss details of a warning with the user who received it, not with someone asking on their behalf. So while it’s nice that you’ve trying to help your friend, they may want to post for themselves for better assistance.
First of all, I asked you to send me a picture that came by e-mail, so I received it and shared it.
I know that I may not help you because I post it instead.
Please understand that I’m doing it for you just because an acquaintance has difficulty in translating and writing and receiving answers here.
And the main point of the article is that the reason for the initial rejection was not written as above. It was recently renewed and changed to look detailed, so I learned the reason.
Again, I think the change has changed really well so that clear reasons come out.
The warning in the mail says that Wayspot submissions are misplaced.
There may be some differences in new apartments, but there is no significant difference in location.
My acquaintance doesn’t know English and doesn’t know how to translate it, so the e-mail is in English, so I didn’t think much about it at the time and didn’t check it.
English is not a requirement of the forums, as any language can be used. There is a translator here, and it shows up as a globe on posts in another language. So your friend is welcome to post here in whatever language they feel most comfortable with.
Again, while it’s great that you want to help them, there’s not much that can be done.
However, notice how one of the emails lists mismatched location. By any chance has your friend checked the locations for the nomination, to see if they were accurate after uploading? Did they use Upload Later, which has sometimes moved pins to your current location onstead of the location that was originally set?
See, this is why seeing the full nominations would be helpful. Someone could have taken the location address and noticed something off.
We also know, for the last week, Wayfarer has been giving out some different rejection reasons, and some don’t seem to align with the actual rejection. It’s possible that this reason of offensive/abusive photo or text is being used for anything that falls under Accuracy, which inaccurate/mismatched location is under.
For example, something at a fire station had the rejection reason of not being unique or of historical significance. Others have gotten this reason for things rejected as generic business. Examples are being collected right now, as we aren’t sure if this is a bug or intentionally being done now. I’ll link this to that thread.
Yes, I agree with this.
Whatever the reason for the rejection is, it’s the judge’s judgment..
As you said, I check through street view or national street view at the time of review, and I usually choose the incorrect location.
As you said, the reviewer may have submitted a false candidate for fraudulent use or because it affects the reviewer or is unpleasant.
As you said, I can’t check everything right away…
It’s a bit of a hassle…
I didn’t see it myself, but I already asked an acquaintance the same question..
And I just got a reply that I did it in the correct location because it’s a new playground and pavilion in my new apartment, but there might be some differences…
If you ask me to check it out myself, I should check it out.
Even so, at first, I received an e-mail saying that the Wayspot submission was wrong and was warned… (The reason for the official Wayfarer’s rejection was not below.)
After the renewal, in Wayfarer, the changes included swearing, mocking, and bullying of certain people or groups in photos or writings. I think this is a misrepresentation.
At the very least, I think the reason for the mail and the reason for the rejection of Wayfarer’s official site should be marked similarly.
And this could be the issue, that reviewers weren’t able to locate it with the info provided. They need to explain this when appealing that it’s not on any maps currently but it was placed as accurately as it could be and they were at the location when nominating and uploading.
I think I reported it probably because I couldn’t see it from the street view or the view on the map.
(In my case, if I can’t find it no matter how much I look for it… I tend to choose the exact location of rejection…)
In fact, an acquaintance didn’t even know why he had a warning at first, but this time, he said he found out why he had a warning because the reason for rejection was more accurately indicated in the Wayfarer formula..
Maybe my acquaintance won’t apply for Wayspot anymore, because if I get another warning, it will be suspended for 30 days…
Thank you again for your kind and quick response. Thank you.
I get some nominations like this here in the US for new neighborhoods or other developments that aren’t on satellite and/or Street View. I typically will do some extra work with these, such as seeing if I can find a map or photos from the developer or rental company, as those can help place the nomination.
You can also skip reviews, regardless of the reason, so you may want to keep that in mind. Skipping doesn’t hurt your rating, and there are times that I do use it and for different reasons.
