Hello, I tried to make wayfarer spots for my city but here’s the thing : I’ve been waiting for 3 weeks now and I’m still in waiting. Is it normal? The status didn’t change at all.
Hi, yes this can be normal. Processing speeds are different in each corner of the world, you can either apply an upgrade to extend the range of your nominations being voted from or get more people in your country to review

Things are much quicker now. When I started doing OPR (Wayfarer’s previous iteration), I was told a 2 year wait wasn’t uncommon.

Everytime I see someone say this I die a little inside…
When it was 2 years it was like submit and forget. Suddenly you got approval/rejection email for something you probably ald forget

I 100% would have submitted things and forgotten, then resubmitted them when I happened by them again

Not to scare you because these days are long gone but the longest time I waited between nominations and approval was 33 months. I think the longest I have waited in the past few years is about 6 weeks.
You could encourage other eligible players in your area to join Wayfarer and help review.

I know I was beyond 2 and half years but it got picked up by the team as it had gotten too old 
So without the teams intervention I don’t know how long it would take.
I can’t remember how long my longest in queue was certainly it was over 1 year
I think there was a gap of about three years where no new submissions were processed at all - late 2014 to late 2017 or so (all in Ingress). That’s all tied in with the Ingress Seer medal.
Looking back at my old submissions, usually they took a few weeks. The quickest I ever had was about 45 minutes.
Was that when eMiLy was accepting submissions? I had ones which were being accepted by eMiLy almost as soon as I released them from being on hold.
