Contrary to what the wayspot states, this is not a special resting area. This is a regular bus stop. A covered bus stops, but there is nothing special about it.

I found at least two similar ones:

Thanks for the appeal, @Itsutsume We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.

OK, thanks, now I know that bus stops are eligible and will start nominating them :+1: And now I also know that falsifying titles and descriptions is not against Niantic rules :+1:

To be clear this is not what @NianticAtlas has said.
They have looked at this individual case, and applied the removal policies to this specific case.
There are no wider implications to what might be eligible or acceptable that come out of any individual cases.

This is a bus stop, and someone lied to make it look like it’s something else. It shouldn’t have been approved to begin with and should have been removed. If Niantic doesn’t want to remove it, they signal that:

  • it’s OK to nominate bus stops
  • it’s OK to lie and make them look like something else
