Invalid wayspot: Episcopal Church of the Resurrection Sign

  • Wayspot Title: Episcopal Church of the Resurrection Sign

I believe that this counts as being on “school property”.

A related wayspot to (maybe) consider:
37.948384,-122.073067 – Church of the Resurrection Legacy Plaza Gazebo

My personal notes on it say:

  • Fix location
    • 37.948100, -122.072697
    • (then remove because On the campus of “Center of Gravity School”.)

But those were made pre-reorg (Mar 18), so never got around to moving it to the correct location, then removing.

I think we should be accurate in our use of language.
This is a school on a larger plot of land owned by the church. A school on church property.
Whether the presence of a school next to another building means that the places next to them are disallowed is something for the wayfarer team to decide.
I thought it useful to provide greater clarity on the situation as all that has been presented so far is not clear.

It would appear that the google pin, as is not uncommon, is misplaced. Several other sources place it on this building a from looking at pictures etc. The school seems to have their labs ( they are STEM oriented) in this separate building, with a fenced off outdoor space.

I personally think some photographic evidence would clarify the relationship between the the different buildings. But I am many thousands of miles away :joy:
It seems a common situation that separate buildings are rented out for various purposes. When it’s a school great care seems to be taken (as you might expect) to make it a distinct, independent and secure location.

To me it’s clear in this instance ( which is all that is under review) the church is one social community space and the school is a separate one.
