Thanks for the appeal, @Buggy8017. We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.

Hi @NianticAtlas . On your guidelines and in the various discussions you have always said that street plates are NOT valid. Have the guidelines on this changed in this regard? Because in this way you create a precedent and allow us to nominate the plaques
Ciao,
Decisions by staff and Niantic Voting are never new criteria or anything similar unless explicitly said so and would usually be published in their own posts like the clarifications instead.
With that being said, eligibility and removal criteria are not aligned, what is accepted but doesn’t fulfill removal criteria is not removable even if the object in question is ineligible, like random supermarket chains (think of Lidl in Italy) for example.
For this example, the context to the content of the plaque, if laid out by the submitter, might be enough to leverage it to actually being eligible.
But then also, since it doesn’t violate anything that fit to removal criteria like being on k-12 school grounds, has unsafe access etc., the staff can not remove this even if they would agree that this is ineligible for acceptance.
