So 3 Months Ago I made this cool Diglett statue which I put on front yard next to the fence.
About a month ago i submitted a swan Statue which was on private property but it wasn’t behind a fence or anything and I thought that there’s a slim chance that they accept it since I saw many statues on private properties as a Waystop prior to this, but then it got picked up by niantic ( i mean it showed. "Under ReviewNiantic logo). After that I gave up my hopes on it being accepted and bang, about a week later i received an email saying that it got accepted and then I thought that I could also make the Diglett I have in my yard a Pokéstop so i did submit it I think even the same day but it got rejected by ai (ai is another topic I genuienly haven’t been as frustrated in a very long time, because it rejects literally everything that’s not in English and since I live in poland I want to use the official language in my nominations.) , then i appealed it and it got rejected again for lacking uniqueness. Is it really a bad nomination? The Thought of having a home stop just sounds too appealing so I did some research and apparently a guy on TikTok did the same thing couldn’t verify if his Diglett got accepted but on pogo map I saw 2 Diglett waystops, hence I think I might be able to get it accepted without stretching any criteria because breaking the rules never feels good I’d like to give it another chance, what do you think about it? Also sorry for how inconsistent this message’s been I’m writing on a phone.
Title: Diglett
Description:
“A small, cute Diglett emerging from the ground – a reference to the iconic character from the Pokémon series. It’s an unusual decoration that catches the attention of passersby and fans of the game.”
Supplemental info:
This object was specifically created with the intention of being submitted as a PokéStop in Pokémon GO, but it can work as a WayStop in other Niantic/Scopely Games. It’s located right next to a fence, in a clearly visible and safe spot. It’s securely mounted on a concrete base, which emphasizes its permanence. It has stood there for over a month without interruption, proving its stability and local significance. I believe it’s a great candidate for a Wayspot – it catches the eye, is unique, and fully meets the wayfarer criteria.
Tiny items like this that are created solely for the purpose of getting a Pokestop are typically not eligible. I can’t see the full map, but I suspect this is also considered to be on private residential property, even though it is technically on the outside of the fence. It still “belongs” to the owner of that residential property.
I need to address this statement. This is blatantly false. We have people who submit in non-English languages all over the world who are able to get their submissions past ML/AI. AI does not reject everything that is not written in English.
Not sure if that is PRP or not, but it doesn’t look particularly permanent and it may be considered abuse if it is created solely for the benefit of one faction or player.. Niantic Wayfarer
i used a small concrete pillar for the base which then whipped around with some clay. Also not exactly for me me, my neighbors do play too but what do i know thanks for quick response
I’m not the most knowledgeable guy but at least most of them are eligible nominations and it seems like the ai just doesn’t care and puts a kabash on anything it sees. i know it’s annoying to see someone get frustrated at something that helped you because it’s not helping them but for me it just makes not want to nominate any more stops. I’ve helped many local communities and prepared rural areas for eventual players but not it kinda seems pointless since I either have to renomite it multiple times or waste my appeal when I could use it on a nomination where people actually play and need it. Just my take.
We can try to help with advice if you want to post screenshots of a contribution you really don’t understand being rejected. I do better discussing one at a time.
Wherever Diglett goes to live. I would look at this in the same way as Mural vs Grafitti.
If the authorities commissioned you to create this to be placed in a public area then yes but wherever an home made piece is placed it won’t be official.
If you could get this in to a gallery you may have a chance…
