Hi everyone,
I’m an active Monster Hunter Now player, and I’d love to help improve the game by submitting new stops. However, I found out that I need to reach a high level in Pokémon GO to do this through Wayfarer.
This feels a bit unfair, especially for those of us who mainly play Monster Hunter Now and may not have played Pokémon GO much.
Shouldn’t there be an option for Monster Hunter Now players to contribute directly, or at least a lower requirement? What do you think?
Hello @enestalhacom
I’ve been an advocate for a long while for more of the games to be able to nominate wayspots. I’d love to hear more of your ideas and about your Monster Hunter Now community.
Monster Hunter Now will soon be two years old since its release. I am also a trainer and hunter at the same time. A friend of mine is going out and submitting candidates to help hunters in the countryside. Pikmin Bloom has been around longer. We should be able to submit Wayspot candidates for all three titles soon.
MHN hasn’t had a map sync since the game released… I mean, it has had a reshuffle of the same June 2022 snapshot of the map database (when the HAT feature debuted), but no new wayspots since then have synched to the MHN map.
I’d expect a map synch first before the possibility of nominating in MHN to even be on the table… Not much point being able to nominate in MHN if the game map won’t have a synch.
That being said, Pikmin Bloom has had only two map synchs in its 3+ years of existing, but no capacity to nominate (yet). So who knows. Hope springs eternal.
To be frank, lvl 37 in pogo is not that high. You should be able to reach it in less than 1 month. Anyway i think submission in MHN is not gonna happen anytime soon when it doesnt even sync periodically. So you can either wait till MHN enable submission or just play pogo until you able to submit nomination. If you pick the latter, by the time sync happen, you might be able to get some of your submission in MHN.
This sounds like back when OPR was the only way to submit eventual wayspots. I’m guessing Wayfarer is not the lone decision maker for the participation. I don’t support lowering the level requirement only for the reason of other games’ non-option though.
It will depend on what the MHNow manager thinks of the roadmap.
I wonder what the level for MH Now submissions would be.
I am not sure but considering pogo lv37 and ingress lv8, i think its something that casual player can reach in a few months
Hello and welcome,
There was talk earlier this year from staff that the level to submit in PoGo would be lowered, but since the sale to Scopely, there hasn’t been much talk about it. It seems like it may still happen, but we just don’t know when.
Yes, it would be nice for more of the Scopely games to have the option to submit, and I do agree that they first need to sync on a regular basis before that may be able to happen. Each game would have to work with Wayfarer to figure these things out, and while I don’t play the other Scopely games, it would be nice to see MHN and Pikmin players brought into Wayfarer at some point.
This is a matter related to the systems of each game, so I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to write about it on the Wayfarer forum, but MHNow is based on cells as a system, but it doesn’t rely heavily on wayspots.
Similarly, in Pikmin Bloom, the big flowers and mushrooms shown on the screen depend on wayspots, but Pikmin also has a lot of data that doesn’t rely on wayspots.
Considering that both games have far fewer spots than PoGo, even if the application is approved, the problem of “no increase in game spots” will be even greater than in PoGo, and it will lead to disappointment.
Well, if both games at least introduced a spot rotation system, that disappointment would be alleviated a little.
True. Its another different case of whereismypokestop
