Hello,
I proposed a solidarity garage as new wayspot. It’s not present and there is no other wayspot near.
The concept is to help some people that have low budget to be able to learn how to do maintenance on their car. So, those garage is composed of professionnals that are available for people, and this garage has good setup. You can get more informations here: Point mobilité Chalon-sur-Saône - Garage associatif du Chalonnais
The main picture:
The environment picture:
The title: “Mobility Point Community Garage Chalonnais - Solidarity Garage Spare Wheel”
The description: “Association about car repairing based on mutual assistance and training from professionals on how to repair vehicles. The association is partially funded by the government.”
The reason for decline is: “We are unable to verify as per the nomination context how this business is a locally significant to your community. We suggest that you add more information explaining why this business is important for the local community in a new nomination.”.
I did it, but I got the same response.
Do you think it’s a valid proposal? Or even by adding lot of context, that would be declined too?

Could we see the full nomination with the description, additional information and photos? This will help us better understand and help you with your nomination.
I just moved it into the right section. It’s difficult to find the right one. I will edit the main post with direct data but translated
Update: I just added it into the main post

That’s an interesting idea, I guess they are common enough in France so reviewers will likely know what they are.
To be a valid wayspot the proposed place has to meet one of three criteria - encourage exploration, exercise or socialisation. I don’t think it meets the first two criteria, it possible meets the third if it is a place where local people can meet up and learn about something. You would need to stress that in your submission, else it may get rejected as being a generic business.
It’s clearly not common in France. I think it’s a reason why people decline it.
Yes, for me it fit this criteria like it’s to communicate about cars etc
I think if you focus more on the aspect of training that it may look like something worth exploring, and possibly a place to be social. Just looking at the general info for what a community garage is, which this is, it’s a place for anyone to come and repair their cars with assistance, if needed. They also note that it’s somewhat of a community hub, for the community to come together to help one another with their car repairs, and possibly be a meeting place to talk about cars.
To me, this seems like a community garden in some ways. Typically, there is someone there that has knowledge in gardening and helps teach those wanting to participate in how to grow the plants they want to. It certainly is a social hub during the growing and harvesting seasons, and it may be worth exploring if you have an interest in growing your own food, but don’t have the land for it or the money.
Hopefully staff can take another look at this rejected appeal; no guarantee that they will. It does seems to be a great place to explore and possibly be social, and is a benefit to the community.
