This sign is on the main road and indicates where to turn to get to the beach. It’s handmade from driftwood and stands at about 8-9 ft tall. This intersection is also a bus stop. This is a rural area so there are no sidewalks but neighborhood residents walk and jog on this street. It says “Private” but that’s not really the case because there are public areas there with wayspots. The sign itself is on a public road and is a distance from the actual beach.
I think it’s a unique sign but I’m not sure how make that come across in my nomination. Is this worth nominating again?

First off the main photo should be much closer and basically have just the sign. “Private” is not a problem as long as you make it clear that it is an area open to all the local owners/residents and nor just 1 family private household.
Obviously walk up for a better quality picture but something like this would help. I like a square photo because it works better in game
What was in your description? I’d add things about the carving, beach and artistry. For the supplemental that is where you need the “open to more than 1 family” part. Also how the artistry and access to beaches fits in the exploration criteria.
It’s a difficult one to answer. I had a look on Google Maps and could not find the sign, so am assuming it’s on the private section of the road, which isn’t covered by the maps. One of the things to consider is whether it is accessible (safely) by pedestrians. Whilst some places allow people to walk on the roads absent of a pavement, it isn’t enough for Niantic’s universal rule of publicly accessible. I would probably pass on this one, but will bow down to more experienced opinions.
Yah. The location may be the most tricky part here. Its basically in the “neighborhood sign” location. Just on the edge of the community and possibly the border of a single family home. The road looks rural with no sidewalks and meant for people walking but that will also need to be addressed for city reviewers who don’t have experience walking rural roads.
Ok, managed to find the one you posted. Looks like SFPRP, which means it should be rejected. So to answer the OP’s question, whilst the sign looks interesting, we would need to treat it as if it’s on Single Family Private Property.
I see. It’s very hard to tell because of the tall trees separating the road from the house’s front yard. Thanks for the clarification.
If there is sufficient evidence that proves it’s not on SFPRP and there is safe pedestrian access, I can see it being accepted. Just consider that Niantic applies a universal standard regardless of local laws, customs, etc, especially when it comes to SFPRP and pedestrian access.
