This is the mosque, and it is getting rejected for PokeStop under the tag of other rejection criteria. Is it a system error?

Unfortunately I didn’t know that we only get two appeals every 20 days. I’ve used them already. This is forcing me not to play this game anymore. I waited months but all of my nominations are going under the tag of Not Accepted. Even the same things/buildings that are already PokeStops or Pokemon Gyms or Power Stops are being rejected. I’ll share them in my next post.
Being that the rejection reason was Other, that means that there was more than 1 rejection reason chosen by reviewers. I see 2 possible rejection reasons.
The only issue I see if the description being in English, as I assume in Pakistan that’s not the most spoken/read language. Even the English description has grammar errors, and that could have cause a rejection for low quality description.
There’s no Street View here, but you do make sure to show the mosque in the surronding area in the supporting photo. Maybe because it’s not listed on Google Maps as a mosque some thought it doesn’t exist. I’d imagine that not all mosques are listed online, yet some reviewers wanted it listed on Google Maps or somewhere else online to approve. Therefore, someone could have rejected for inaccurate location.
This may be one you may want to either appeal or resubmit. If you appeal, you may want to provide some additional photos (you’ll have to upload them to a 3rd party site and provide the links), as well as some additional info about where the mosque is located on the map due to no Street View.
If you choose to resubmit, I’d maybe write your description in the language most spoken/read there instead of English, as well as provide more info in the supporting info as to where the mosque is located, due to it not being on Street View.
I can’t use Urdu while nominating any spot in the description. The main point is how to deal with this problem??? Should I first upload each and everything first on Google map and then nominate it? Wait for 20 more days? then wait again for Rejection?? As you can also see on the map there is no Pokemon Gym or PowerStop in my nominated area.
I was under the belief that “Various rejection reasons” is the message shown when more than 2 (or 3?) reasons are selected.
The language shouldn’t matter. You can use whatever you are comfortable using.
I wish I could tell you what “Other rejection reason” means people chose. I can’t.
Satellite view is not your friend in this area. Try to take a supporting photo that has features you can point out in your supporting statement. I think I see a building that is larger than most of the others with something shiny on top.
I don’t think adding Google Labels is necessary. Anyone can add them, as you know. But if you have any proof you can link that this place exists and is what you say it is, you can include those in the supporting section.
I usually try to resubmit something I feel is eligible at least a couple of times before I appeal it. This looks eligible to me.
Yes, you can use whatever language you’d like to, but this is not a primarily English speaking country, and it seems to not be the primary language of the OP. Urdu is the national language, English is co-official but mainly used by the government, military, and universities and not highly spoken/read by the citizens. Punjabi is also widely used in Pakistan, and there are also other regional languages, over 70.
We’ve had others get their nominations rejected due to poor English titles/descriptions in areas where English isn’t the main language spoken/written. There was some in Belgium and the Netherlands that thought that English had to be used, as other users were saying so. Many were in Dutch areas, so it was recommended to write in that language, especially if that’s the language they’re most comfortable with.
You may want to submit a bug report for this. Urdu should be allowed to be used, just like how Japanese or Korean are allowed and those do not use English-based characters.
You can certainly try to edit your titles/descriptions/supporting info in Contribution Management after submitting right now, but I would also submit a bug report.
By “can’t use Urdu” do you mean right to left language support, or do you mean something else?
“اردو استعمال نہیں کر سکتے” سے کیا آپ کا مطلب دائیں سے بائیں زبان کی حمایت ہے، یا آپ کا مطلب کچھ اور ہے؟
I translated it into Urdu.
Sorry to hear that. It’s frustrating to experience that and so have I.
Hope you find resolution and want to keep playing.
The forums run on a different platform than the games, so you have to be more specific about what the in-game issue is. Translating something posted here in the forums can be done easily in any language, especially as the translator used if Google Translate, which does have Urdu.
Again, it may be something that you have to report in the Bug Reports & Technical Support topic for assistance if you can’t use Urdu in-game when nominating.
Well for now the issue is not about the language
In photo anyone can clearly see and read in Urdu the name and about the mosque written in Urdu.
It could be, hence why it may be best to file a bug report. In-game is one thing, Wayfarer website is another, and the forums is another. They all run off of different programs.
A language setting for reading can be different than a language setting for writing.
I’m not sure why the language in the photo would be a problem?
I can location of this place by using Google Maps. Could you guide what should I do now? How can this become a PokeStop?
Could you explain please and how this could be helpful?
You should be able to use whichever language you feel most comfortable with, and, if possible, what may be most relevant to the area.
You said you have tried to use Urdu while nominating in-game, but you’re having some issues using it. This could be a bug that needs to be fixed, as Urdu should be allowed to be used for nominations and title/description edits. It’s possible that the bug is in-game, and with typing in Urdu.
Reading and typing in a certain language are different coding, and those codes are put in by whoever developed the software, not based off of your device’s settings. So, if you’re having trouble typing in Urdu in a Niantic game while nominating or editing bit not reading in it, this is coding Niantic would need to look at on their end to see if there is an issue, and if so, correct it.
The coding for reading and typing are different for every language, so even English would have a code to be able to read an app in it, as well as one to type in it.
