Good Day Everyone. Its almost a decade since since the game launch. And Im happy that alot of players are still active. Since the initial launch I already started playing until years pass and already lost my account. Cant do anything about it now and since I only return due to my kids request. I chose to start over. Now my wife and 2 kids are all playing actively.
My concern is this. Years already Pass and still our local communities Map is still lacking PokeStops. We still need to drive an hour just to have a spin of a pokestop and attend a raid.
So it kinda makes me envy to see an over lapping pokestops and tons of gyms and raid locations. Pokemon Go players future is kinda dim in my local community. So now I took a step and actively Nominate Stops.
One of my nomination is already accepted and been deny at the last second. And alot more has been denied. Since they said that it lacks the communities standard. Now im still actively Nominating Spots as per community guidelines and none has been approved up to now.
My request is this. Can you guys please give priority and a little slack to areas who doesnt have any spots already established. I hope this time my local communities standing and upcoming players will feel the ever reaching hand of Pokemon Go or any game associated with Niantic.
Thank you guys and im very sorry for wasting your valuable time reading my request…
Have a Good Day.
Welcome to the forum! Feel free to share screenshots of your rejected nominations and we can help you figure out what went wrong. Were they rejected by the AI, or by the community?
Also, if you feel comfortable sharing the approximate location, there are people on the forum who can help you find good Wayspot submissions nearby.
What do you mean by this? It was accepted as a Wayspot, and then didn’t appear in the game? Or it appeared in the game, and then disappeared? A screenshot of the submission would be helpful!
Criteria is the same all over the world. A need for pokestops is not criteria. Here is a link explaining what is and is not eligible:
In addition, I will link a topic with suggestions for points of interest you can try to look for:
The Wayfarer team understands that it can be difficult to establish game locations in some areas. They are currently conducting experiments with assigning Pokestops:
As was suggested, please do share screenshots of a rejected nomination or removed accepted nomination that you don’t understand.
Yep please do.. For sure im not the only one having this kind of concerns.. since other areas have over lapping well not entirely overlapping but very near to each other (almost a cough away) and our have miles away from the nearest Stop.
I may have misunderstand his message or I don’t really know what does that Nominated Accept 1 means. Need clarification if I really do misinterpreted everything.
I would try to appeal the old well. Perhaps you may need a longer description and do some research on who dug the well and when it was dug. But that’s something I’d totally be down to upvote as it could meet the exploration criteria.
Like I said its 1930’s. I tried to research for documentations but cant find any since back in the day they don’t have kind of documentations. All I have are stories from my late Grand Parents.its located near the side of the road and if you guys like you can review the google earth map that its really in same location. Im afraid that it will be forgotten even though as a farming community it is our main source of water for the crops.
I followed your advice and resent my appeal though I already sent it a lot of times already. I don’t wanna spam my concerns and annoy you guys if you really don’t like it. So im very sorry this will be the last time im going to bother you with it. Thanks I hope even without proper documentation or other evidences I hope you guys can really consider approving it. In advance in behalf of my local community I thank you for acknowledging that it really exist. And stories about it can once again be told…
We all aren’t a monolith. My position on wells might not be universal. Especially since im educated about folklore so I know that wells are actually culturally important spots. I’m also fairly new so maybe there is some lore post about wells out there that I’m unfamiliar with lol.
Make sure to read and let us know the reasons why something was rejected. It’s hard to help when we don’t know why or what could solve it. For instance it might not be immediately clear the well is accessible based off the photos so you might have to submit on web with 4-5 photos if it’s getting rejected for this reason.
At the very least I think if it’s still not culturally relevant enough maybe you can try to install an info board by the sign. Something about wells, either how they work or traditional folklore in your village which might phase out over time. And be the first to start documenting history in your town/village. (Which would be cool and definitely count as a Pokémon go spot)
Heres our conversation with one of our local Ambassador. Since I tried to message my communities local ambassador but kinda unresponsive I think kinda accomodated for the moment. So cant talk to him/het with regards to the Well..
As far as how long things take:
If a nomination is denied in the first 24 hours, that’s due to an AI process that happens first.
Then it goes into a “queue” to be put before human reviewers. Eventually it will show “in voting”.
The queue and voting can vary because the system mostly gives it to local reviewers; if there’s not many of those, it can take longer.
I’m in a major US metro area and mine usually take anywhere from 30 hours (fastest) to I think my slowest was about 9 days from nomination to final decision… but I have noticed that the more rural ones are the slower ones.
I guess it will be one of my communities ancient establishments that will be forgotten. And stories about it will end up only in our local folklore. I wish to tell other people about if they do manage to visit it. Nonetheless I don’t wanna raise anymore issues with regards to my initial Nomination - The Well. A Hearth felt thanks by the way for acknowledging it…
I hope my nominations will be able to reach you good people so I can have a pretty good vote. Haahaha… I just really hope my Nominations will be approved since my kids are really waiting for it. And its really kinda annoying that every now and then my kids are always asking for it. You know how it goes… cheers…
Hello @JinStreeks
Just so you know the 1 Accept that you see under your Profile is an Agreement from the Reviews that you have voted on. It’s not one of your nominations that has been accepted.
It looks like yours are still waiting in line to be reviewed by others based on what you have posted here. Best of luck ![]()
Nope its already unsuccessful .. hahah… If its only a BESTA water tanks that can easily be approved… well its just an old well… I only made an appeal since it was suggested. Thank you for the info.. I wonder how many votes I will need before it can be approved.
Hello,
My first question is what is “Baruyan Proper”, Baruyan is the location but why “Proper”.
In regards to your nominations, it seems that you are jumping the g.u.n as most are still in the Queue.
Remember, You are not talking to staff, we are wayfarers the same as you. We like to give advice that can help you get success but we can’t accept them for you.
My Recommendations…
Wait until you have got an answer for each, if it is rejected then create a new post (1 per nomination).
Give the full details (both images, Title, Description, Supplemental and location).
We can then concentrate on each nomination instead of bombarding you.
Please Note: We will give advice but depending on the situation it may not be the advice you hoped for. It could be…
- Incorrectly Rejected, Send Appeal.
- Could be accepted with some changes.
- Not eligible. Forget it and move on.
If you want suggestions for the area, again start a new post, state that you are looking for suggestions in the local area and give the location (Do NOT use you home address. Use a local park, crossroads, town centre etc). Long / Lat is preferred.
Good Luck
