@ZarakiSahab I showed you the cell the current wayspots were in, but I did not explain how Pokemon Go uses S2 cells.

This was an excellent point made. If the pin where you placed the fitness station is in that grid I showed you, then it would not be eligible to go live in Pokemon Go anyway. Would you like to share the gps coordinates where you submitted it and check? They will be shown on the submission email after the second photo. (And reviewers do have the option to move the pin, so it may not remain where you placed it if it looks wrong.)

Oh thats a pity. May I know how I can access map and grids like that? I live in an area with nothing standout and just these local parks to go around. It’s going to be such a pain if every cell/grid only allows 1 nomination/pokestop lol.

I am not allowed to directly link these tools, but what I used here is a map of ingress portals called iitc with a pogotools overlay called pogo-s2. The readme for pogo-s2 tells you how to install.

This is a map of portals, so not all wayspots will be there. But the S2 cell grid and wayspots that do show will be accurately placed.

I am not savvy enough to help if you have installation problems, but there are lots of folks on the Wayfarer Discussion Discord who are.

I am so glad that Niantic is allowing us to freely discuss S2 cells on the forum, so I always am careful to state that misusing this knowledge to place pins where they will show up rather than where the objects actually exist is abuse. Only use cell knowledge to know where to look for candidates to submit.

To add to the fantastic information @cyndiepooh has given you, the community has observed that Wayspots which are located in already filled level 17 S2 cells can show up to be Power Spots. We have not observed new Power Spots go live in quite a while but it seems only reasonable that that process will be worked out eventually.
