When I nominated this stop, there were no places on this building that were pinned. I am getting the reason it can’t be accepted is because “it is a duplicate”. I have nominated a few stops, and all of them are being rejected. This one doesn’t even seem like there is a legitimate reason for it. I don’t understand. We have very few nominations in our community that actually show up in Pokemon Go, even though there are tons of way spots in the community. I’m trying to nominate more that are further apart so that they may show up for the game, but it seems impossible at this point. As you can see in the nomination map, there are no pins near this Mill. The other pins on here are for murals, gazebos, etc. The mill is in the upper right part circled in blue with an arrow pointed at it. The address is 42 4TH Street, Gainesville mo. According to the contribution map, it is definitely not a duplicate. Any suggestions or something I’m missing?
Your nomination is probably duplicate of unused wayspot that doesnt appear as pokestop. Please check those “!”. You nomination should be among those
You need to read how s2 cell works in order to prevent this disappointment but know that missplacement of wayspot submission is subject to abuse ladder system.
On the other hand , you can focus finding wayspot where it can actually appear.
I understand that there are many that are too close together. However my nomination does not show as a duplicate on the map, which is why it was rejected. How can you tell if it’s a duplicate? I went through every pin on the surrounding map, and it doesn’t have this Mill on it.

So it will be marked as a duplicate.
This should appear on the submission map as orange pin and clicking on it will reveal the wayspot as above.

The water wheel shares a cell with the Anew church which I presume does appear in Pokémon Go.
So unfortunately it won’t appear.

What is it about the the mill itself that meets criteria?

I don’t know if you have nominated it as my information is 12 weeks out of date….byut the saddle club and the arena could be 2 separate nominations.
When you submit, you need to click on those “!”. It can be duplicate with it. In the other hand if those “!” are in wrong location you can correct it by using help chat. Take screen shot of them. Get it’s location and submit them to help chat. But only do edit for correcting location. Moving away wayspot from correct location is subject to abuse ladder system.
Help chat will ask for evidence.besure to submit enough evidence that leave no room for doubt
This is the map that is available to me when I nominated the spot. As you can see, there is no orange pin by the mill. Also, the anew church is not located at the waifairer spot that was approved. It is a whole building over. But this spot does not show as a waifairer spot on my map when I go to nominate.
The range for “!”pin is not far. If you walk some distance away before doing nomination, you might miss it. You can see below that it ald exist in database. You just didnt see it because you are too far

It’s fine, I just had a fourth nomination denied, and I’m sure the next 2 or 3 will be too. I’ve seen people get sticks approved, and the ones I’m nominating are real places. I’m not just talking about this wheel. I think this whole process is too bogus to participate in anymore. Thank you for your consideration.
This looks like you were just a smidge too far away for the nomination map screen to pick up the Wayspot. It doesn’t work over a very large area. Do try standing right at the water wheel and see if you see it then. I know I have had this happen to me when i was in the parking lot for the point of interest, but just just a bit too far to see the !
Rejection never feels good. We are happy to try to help with advice on any nomination you don’t understand the rejection for. If actual sticks have been accepted, those should be reported for removal.
Personally i have hundreds of rejection, over 11 years of submissions. Please dont let rejection discourage you. I find myself submitting wayspot more fun then the actual game itself
