I have seen similar in my neighborhood, and requested it to be removed; this was declined. My appeal was also declined, despite providing StreetView image and link for easy review.
The ‘Rejection Criteria’ page still indicates “Location is a private residential property (even if historical),[…]” Are we not to care about SFPRP anymore? No wonder players get confused about what is acceptable.
It got accepted because many reviewers wrongly believe that LFL’s are an exception to the SFPRP rule. I am surprised the removal appeal was rejected. How did you appeal it? Maybe post in Wayspot Appeals where creating a topic will walk you through the information staff needs to reconsider the report. You can link this topic.
Hi, @Diskrepansi! It looks like we haven’t gotten to this request yet or it hasn’t been submitted through in-game. At this time, we only take appeals to overturn decisions we’ve already made.
I did not appeal that example one; it was just presented on the Showcase page, and my point was that this will cause confusion about LFL being acceptable while on PRP.
But I had another in my neighbourhood that was requested/denied/appealed/denied quite some time ago - back in March 2023. I’m at work currently, so cannot copy/paste the StreetView link (browser isolation), nor obtain the portal link from Intel map, but the address is 297 Sunvale Dr. SE, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The LFL is within the PRP property line, as can be seen compared to the fence; this is not on an easement or public property.
If you haven’t and can’t perform a removal request in-game I would suggest using either of the two forms pinned at the top of this forum filling in the information about the wayspot and your rationale/evidence for why it should be removed.
You can also request removal via help chat on the Wayfarer website. I’ve done this for Featured Wayspots that are at ineligible locations. Last one I did was for a basketball court at a childcare center in a city I don’t live near, and it was removed.
