Little Free Library got rejected

Not sure why my nomination was rejected, as there are many other pokestops in the area that are little free libraries. Someone mentioned the lack of sidewalks, but my neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks at all.

You haven’t shown us the location of your nomination, but from the photos, this appears to be in someone’s yard. SFPRP - single family private residential property - is ineligible. The rejection reason should be on your contribution.

Here are some clarifications that apply to this situation:

Little Free Libraries

Little Free Libraries (LFL) can be eligible for nomination, but their location is critical to whether they can be accepted. Little Free Libraries with safe access on sidewalks outside of apartment buildings or on municipal or communal property are eligible. Private Residences, Farmland & K-12

Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries. Objects in or upon apartment blocks, gated communities, or their shared spaces may be eligible assuming they otherwise meet criteria and are intended to be accessed by a community, even if not everyone. Have to agree with the others that this appears to be on SFPRP and is therefore ineligible.

Don’t use what already are stops/gyms in PoGo as what may be allowed to be Wayspots for the Wayfarer map. Wayfarer has criteria that must be followed, and it does change from time to time, so it’s always best to follow the current criteria, not what is in-game. And if you are seeing LFLs on SFPRP, you can request removal of them in-game, using the Reporting Abuse link at the top of the forums, or help chat on the Wayfarer website.

Someone mentioned the lack of sidewalks,

I am trying to figure out where this comment could have come from. Sometimes a sidewalk will indicate where the homeowner’s property ends and public property begins. Perhaps that is what they were trying to say. But a sidewalk does not always function this way, and does not magically make an LFL eligible. There is a lot of confusion on this topic, which is why the clarifcations on LFL’S and SFPRP were made.
