I don’t think I’ll ever see how a stick library meets criteria.

I actually don’t see how it is useful at all, but I’ll leave that for some other discussion board.

Well I was delighted when I saw it, I’m not a dog owner but I could just picture the pickiest of dogs selecting a branch for their upcoming walk through the forest, or rehydrating when on the return. It must be a place where people stop and chat, and serves as a good starting point for their walk. But most of all, I thought it was cute.

I get the same feeling with the rock library - it’s a good idea and I would absolutely think this as a point of interest.

I personally like it, it’s the sort of thing I’d approve. I don’t think it’s much of a stretch from a little book library. My only concern is if it’s a fad/trend and it’s not something that will last long. On the flip, I’ve seen plenty of rotten, unused, uncared for community notice boards so :man_shrugging:

I honestly quite like a little whimsey, something that might be a tad silly but it puts a smile on your face.

That’s when the future archaeologists get to take over- anything that indicates human activity. The same way they can look at relics at prehistoric sites and how there’s often evidence of trade between groups (e.g. distinctively carved tools, flint knives, woven material that originates in one area, being found in distant settlements). A pile of unrelated rocks (possibly with evidence of decoration or annotation) in a central location would certainly hint at a culture of shared curiosity and travel
