Looking for ideas to improve this nomination

What would you do different for this nomination?

  1. New picture?
  2. New/different description?

what were the rejection reasons? sometimes i can get them to show up if i log out and back in.

The main picture looks fine to me.

Is this the start of the trail?
The title might not be distinctive if there are more for this trail. Is this what Americans call a trailhead?
Catawba Trailhead
The supplementary is a bit short.
Perhaps you could use that to tackle the rejection reasons?
Link to show it’s there, is there a streetview issue ……you know the drill😎

That’s my starting thoughts

Another Wayspot for this trail shows a map. I would try to find the source of this map and link it in the supporting information.

I am not sure I grabbed the right pin from your screenshot but does the red pin look right? Maybe the proximity to a differently named trailhead is why they were so sure it was wrong?

Yep, that’s mine as well. I’m trying to map the entire nature preserve!

Maybe you can try your supporting photo with geotag.

Then finding a map to link in the supporting could be useful for all the nominations.

We never see nominations come through with these kind of photos here, and I truly think it would make local reviewers more suspicious to see them printed on the photo. But maybe.

(Jamal and I are both in North Carolina.)

Idk about chances to get it through but I’ve never heard of any issues with it. So why not? Especially with trails which are often covered by greenery.

I don’t trust anything people can manually add to their photos.

I am jaded because I spent years fighting against a professional photographer dropping photospheres with no thought whatsoever for location accuracy.

Jamal did want suggestions, though, so the more, the better.

@AgentX1976 Has had alot of success with Geotagged photos. I have used them for out of the way nominations.

Yes it can be hard if you have had problems in the past.

I’m certainly using the GPSCamera app for a lot of my trail markers as they are nowhere near anything that could verify where they are.
The trail route can be seen ( so I provide that link) but they don’t record on the route where the markers are.

I understand what you mean, it’s why I usually try and still point out to my reviews what I can see in my pictures. The GPS camera just gives added credibility to my nominations.

@blamejamal Picture is fine, only thing I might think is that it is more a sign for cars to find parking vs an actual trail head. Since it’s right next to the road.
