Wegmarker Auto-Ablehnung

Warum wurde das automatisch abgelehnt? Zu viele Bäume im Bild?

Und gleich noch eine. Klarer Wanderweg.

For the first one, you are too far away from the actual POI and the amount of space dedicated to the plaque is much too small. Even zooming in all the way, I cannot tell that that is a real plaque. The trees are not interesting. That would be a perfectly good photo for the wayspot, but isn’t good enough for reviewing it.

Welcome to the forums

That was probably interpreted as simply a junction marker, which is not in itself eligible. Hmm.

Locals could tell you it is real. The 4 screws, the choice of it being on a tree at such a location. The likelyhood of a marker being at that specific location, ect.
If I ever go back there, I will try to take a pic with less background.

Ok. Was trying to include the white sign, as it is a diection info for walkers too. Will try to nominate again with just the “yellow” bits.

I agree with all that even without being local. However, if you look just at the photograph without having all that knowledge and look at what is actually showing, you might see what I am seeing

Oh, i saw trees 1st thing when lookkng up the rejection  For remote stuff verifying the location is though. I see that on many trail nominations. Was geo-tagging for the 1st time yesterday. Hope this will allow for quicker reviewing. If the auto-team will actually bother to bring it to a review and not just make me regret the cold fingers yesterday :grinning_face::grinning_face::grinning_face::grinning_face::grinning_face:

Sometimes, getting an eligible submission past the ML system and in front of reviewers requires finesse with the photo. You just have to make sure the photo looks good for reviewers as well.

With remote things where there is a problem verifying the location, use the new web submission form, as you can include up to 5 supporting images. Niantic Wayfarer

This way, you can provide extra images or information to prove the location is correct. (I’m still able to create photospheres, until my current phone dies, but the ability to add 5 supporting photos is helpful for the majority of people who can’t create photospheres.)

You could also use an appeal to get human eyes on this nomination if it is difficult to go back. You get two appeals, each on a 15 day counter before you can use it again, in case you need to prioritize what to appeal.

Ja zu viel Hintergrund.

Hi @Paramaribo79

Thanks. I have already used one. If I do not need the 2 appeals for more important stuff (i have over 20 in the queue still ), i can indeed try that route later.
