The sync appears to be happening when we normally expect it according to reports we are seeing to WDD. Has the issue been fixed, or are y’all doing daily manual syncs?
yeah, between me and one of my friends, we’ve had new approves every day since Sunday and they are consistently showing up the following day between 10-13:30 California time. So it looks like ee’re back to daily as usual.
Reporting: A ton of valid pokestops have disappeared at normal sync time, but this accepted monument does not show on wayfarer map nor ingame map.
That sounds more like they got removed than a sync issue
Presumably yes. What I meant with that was that it suggests a sync did happen. Or maybe removals happen independently?

Yes, it seems so. Upon watching, I’ve narrowed down the sync time to a few minutes around 11AM California time (had a new pokestop and a gym upgrade become visible today at 11:02).
