37.662073, 127.047413 This is the same company, Mercedes-Benz, as 37.737554, 127.068948.
37.662073, 127.047413: My application for location was rejected.
37.737554, 127.068948: There is a wayspot for this location.
37.737554, 127.068948: My reported location was rejected.
This is unfair.
Theyāre both Mercedes-Benz, just in different locations, so why was my application rejected, while
the existing location was approved?
I only see this has a car dealers or maybe a car companyās offices. I donāt see why this would meet criteria (Socialise, exercise or explore) so IMO the rejection is correct (as far as I can see from your post).
In regards to the other locationā¦
You should never use whatās already on the map as confirmation of what is Acceptable.
There may be something at the other location that makes it eligible.
It may have been incorrectly Accepted and should be reported for removal.
Is it possible that Mercedes has āSponsoredā wayspoints at certain branches? (these ignore criteria).
Did you take these photos yourself? (3rd party photos is an instant Reject.
The categories available in the in-app submission does not correlate to criteria.
Several game objects may not reflect what can be acceptable with respect to the Wayfarer criteria as several other methods of input has emerged when importing game objects:
As such, we cannot reliably use what is already in game to be acceptable.
Hello, @NianticAaron
37.737554, 127.068948
I have confirmed that this Wayspot does not meet the removal criteria.
I was rejected after submitting my application for Wayspot 37.662077, 127.047416.
I am the same general business entity as 37.737554, 127.068948.
If I resubmit this Wayspot, meeting the photo and other requirements, will it be approved?
However, the strange thing is that, even though itās the same company as other locations, some locations were approved and Wayspots were generated, while other locations were rejected after application.
This suggests that Wayspots were approved in places where they shouldnāt have been approved, or that the reasons for rejection in other areas were incorrect photos or insufficient requirements.
Iām just curious which one is correct.
This is import so it doesnt follow standard wayfarer criteria. Nomination criteria and removal criteria is differrent. Unless the reported wayspot is problematic like unsafe or in SFPRP, it tend to stick once approved.
What I donāt understand is that the location you captured and uploaded is a Wayspot.
Itās strange that it was approved without even registering a photo.
37.662091, 127.047415 (photo attached) These are also Mercedes-Benz locations.
Why canāt this be approved?
Do I need to take and upload a better photo?
Its imported by niantic directly (not by wayfarer like us). So there are no review or approval process. Imported wayspot doesnt have to follow standard wayfarer criteria. (All wayspot without photo is imported) Niantic is trying to improve wayspot in many area. So some odd wayspot like this might appear. I have seen company office become wayspot. Some wayspot that is unsafe might be reported for removal. But wayspot like this will be hard to be removed because it doesnt have removal criteria
It simply doesnt seems to match wayfarer criteria. Dont use existing wayspot as basis. You are free to resubmit with extra evidence if you so sure that it fit wayfarer criteria, but if it got rejected again, i suggest you to move on. Because spamming ineligible nomination is subject to abuse ladder system.
