Esta pokeparada está aceptada desde abril de 2024 pero hace unos días desapareció del mapa. Como propietario creador de la propuesta no pedí que fuese eliminada, así que me gustaría saber el motivo por el cual Wayfarer consideró que ya no era una propuesta válida, para saber si puedo apelar la decisión (si me hubiera mudado del barrio, al igual ni me habría enterado porque no se envían correos indicando que una Poképarada es eliminada).
Looking at this, it does appear to be more vandalism than unique art. There do appear to be other vandalistic works right next to this one on Street View. This view from 2017 shows them the best.
Per criteria, vandalistic art is ineligible, as it may have not been painted with permission.
I’m also curious as to what you mean by “owner” here. Did you originally create the Wayspot? No one “owns” Wayspots that they create, especially since they can be edited by other users. Are you the owner of the business? If so, did you give permission to an artist to create this?
Also, emails are never sent to the user that originally added a Wayspot to the map to inform them it has been removed. I think if that was happening, there may be some people confused as to why they are getting the email, especially if they no longer partake in Wayfarer. Emails are still sent when nominations and edits get resolved, whether accepted or rejected, but not if there has been any type of update to a Wayspot, even removal.

Antes de nada, pedir disculpas porque el término “propietario” era erróneo. No quería expresarme así, pero estoy en medio de búsqueda de un nuevo hogar y mi subsconciente me traicionó. Ya he editado el mensaje original.
A lo que me refería era que una Poképarada puede ser eliminada si quien hizo la petición lo pide (cosa que no ha ocurrido) o si por otros criterios Wayfarer decidía eliminarla. Quería hacer el quote del mensaje donde se comentaba esto, pero ahora soy incapaz de recuperar el mensaje.
Centrándonos en el wayspot eliminado, sinceramente muestras una imagen de 2017 donde ya se ve este mismo mural, lo cual demuestra más que es algo pedido por los dueños del local en vez de categorizarlo como “arte vandálico” como podría pasar en otros puntos cercanos.
Entiendo que no lleva firma (no siempre llevan) y que es más “simple” que otros murales de la zona, y si los criterios del juego consideran que no es lo suficientmente “elaborado” pues podría entender su eliminación (que no compartirlo), pero si por error ha sido recategorizado como “arte vandálico”, pues me gustaría ver que puedo aportar (además de que ya existía de forma idéntica desde hace 8 años mínimo) para demostrar lo contrario.
Anyone playing the games can request removal of a Wayspot, not just the person who submitted it. I request removal of many Wayspots, none of which I submitted. Staff does make the decisions on these removal requests, so if staff did side with whoever submitted the request, it was removed by Niantic in the end.
Once a Wayspot has been approved, we don’t have much control over it, and anyone can submit edits or removal requests; edits may get approved or rejected by either the review community or ML (the AI system), whereas all removal requests are reviewed by staff, and they are the ones that make the final removal request decision.
I gave the 2017 example as it was the best to show all of the graffiti, not just the 1 panel you submitted. The latest Street View doesn’t show all 3 panels, and all 3 to me say that this isn’t unique art but vandalism, which isn’t allowed per criteria. The other 2 panels have tags on them, clearly vandalism, not placed there with permission. The XUPA marking at the bottom left also looks like a tag, although not the same as the others. Here is the most recent Street View.
Since I noted the tags on these panels, I do want to provide the criteria clarification for vandalism in the Unique Art clarification, which does come from Niantic themselves. This may help better understand why this may have been removed.
