Misplaced Sponsored Stop

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Starbucks
  • Approx. 47.448375,-122.301993
  • Seattle-Tacoma Intl. Airport, Concourse N

I’ve had layovers in SeaTac often over the last couple years, and during my last stop in the airport I was surprised to find a sponsored Starbucks stop had appeared here. There is no Starbucks in this terminal at all, which is easily confirmed by looking at the interactive map of airport amenities here. I must admit I had gotten fond of Blackleaf (the driftwood horse sculpture that seems to be blocked by the incorrect sponsored location), so I noticed its absence pretty quickly. I believe the misplaced stop in N may actually belong to this Starbucks in terminal D that appears to be missing a sponsored location. As best I could tell the other SeaTac Starbucks all have their sponsored locations, so that store is the odd one out.

My sponsored location report back in January accomplished nothing, but I’ve just seen someone have success editing a McDonald’s sponsored location with a forum report, so I thought I’d give it a shot here. If the Starbucks is not the reason Blackleaf’s stop at 47.448333,-122.302047 has been deactivated, hopefully whatever else is affecting its visibility can be rectified. Thank you!

Hey @featheredmirage ,

We have made the necessary adjustments to this Wayspot, and you should see the changes reflected on the gameboard.

Best,

Thank you so much for such a speedy response! Using the Pokemon Go map, I can see there is no longer a sponsored stop there, but it seems that the cell has not properly recalculated and Blackleaf (the former pokestop) remains forcibly deactivated. The cell has eligible wayspots but is now lacking a pokestop, so is there a possibility the density could be readjusted manually?

There are no issues with Wayspots at this location currently.
