Missing POI

Waystop Accepted but not appearing
Appeal Accepted: 2025-07-23
Nominated on an iPhone 14 running iOS 18.5

Hi, I have nominated a poi on July 20 and it got auto rejected at July 21. On the same day, I appealed and received a success appeal on the next day, July 22. The email I received stated that it will update within 24hrs but it has already passed 9 days. I have checked IITC, there was no POI added there so I am curious what happened. The coordinate of the POI I nominated is at (3.5606869, 101.6457013)

Welcome to the forum @SnowYein117

IITC uses the Ingress map. As of May 23rd 2025, Ingress is no longer connected to the wayfarer database, and so any wayspots that are accepted after that date will not be reflected in Ingress, and will only be visible on IITC if manually added.

If you were expecting to see it in Pokémon Go, is it possible that it was moved into an already occupied Level 17 S2 Cell? I don’t know what it is exactly that you’ve submitted, as you’ve not shared an image of your nomination, but the coordinates you’ve provided are very close to the border between two Level 17 S2 Cells, and I can see that there’s a playground in one of those Cells that exists in Pokémon Go.

The poi I nominated is an empty level 17 s2 cell. I have attached what I nominated and the location as well.

Now that I can see the picture, it appears that you misplaced the pin when you initially submitted the nomination. Looking at street view and satellite view, it appears that the correct location for this nomination should be 3.560552,101.645419, rather than the location you suggested. The appeal reviewer likely noticed your mistake and corrected it for you. The correct location does indeed share a Level 17 S2 Cell with “Taman Arif Utama Playground”, and as such, only one of them is able to be a Pokéstop or Gym, which I can verify that the playground is because it appears on Campfire.

Submitting Wayspots at incorrect locations to manipulate the gameboard is a serious violation and may lead to severe sanctions on your accounts.
