My POI was accepted but is Not schown up yet.
What happend to my request?
When will it be visible in Pocemon Go ?
Have you wait at least 48 hours? Have you check the location onsite if the nomination appear as “!” In the map? If it appear as below, then your nomination probably doesnt meet exclusion rule in pogo. It might appear as power spot though
Hello and welcome @Grumpel174
If it has been over 48 hours then it is likely that it has not been selected to appear in Pokémon Go as a pokestop/gym.
The selection process is based around a set of rules that are explained in this article
https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
If you provide the name of the wayspot and the location (coordinates are best) we can try to check but because of the changes with Scopely we may not be able to give a full answer.
Hi,
Is there a website where we can see the S2 Cells?
We have an area without Pokestops but with a lot of Wayspots
Some wrongly placed, one on the middle of the road but there seems to be no way to move them because it’s not visable in the Niantic Games
Also one that’s a great Pokéstop in my opinion but wrongly placed and picture could be different maybe it doesn’t matter if it’s a Cell that doesn’t become a stop but a Wayspot with a good picture on the right place is also great (picture is good in
I also tried to submit a plaza at a train station, but it was flagged as a duplicate.
I think I need to resubmit it with a better name and better picture to show it’s a plaza
Must be very early in the morning then then because otherwise people are in the picture
We always sit there to trade or meetup before a raid
Do you have any tips how we can see if it’s possible to create a Pokéstop there?
Thanx for answering or reading this
Omg I just checked Ingress, Mr Boomtastik used my image that I used for the wayspot submission and added it to Ingress under his name, How is that even possible???
He must have gotten it from Wayfarer, what can I do about this?
You can use Help Chat Niantic Wayfarer for both the location edit that you can’t do in game and to report that your photo was stolen and used. I have done both of these.
We are hoping that Scopely will provide us with a map, but the best we have right now is iitc (a map of Ingress portals) with a pogotools overlay. I don’t know if you want to bother with setting this up right now since we don’t know how much longer we will be able to access this.
Moving to nomination support
Hi @KarKryptonite
If your nomination was rejected as a duplicate the photo will be added to the existing wayspot. Your local player is most likely not responsible for that
Just so you’re aware, Niantic imported a load of third party data to be used exclusively as Power Spots. These are often misplaced, and when submitting new wayspots they do show as orange icons on the map as if they’re wayspots that are used in other games, despite the fact that they are not actually wayspots. This can often lead to confusion, especially if they’re in empty cells.
Whilst there is no perfect way of telling if something is an actual wayspot, or whether it’s just a Power Spot import, Power Spots usually don’t have photos assigned to them, so if you tap on them on the submission map, you’ll see a grey placeholder image instead of an actual photo. Most actual wayspots will have proper photos. Again, there are exceptions to this, but generally speaking that is one of the easier ways to distinguish between what is and is not a wayspot.
Omg thanks
So it’s added to the Wayspot in Ingress via my new Wayspot submission only they didn’t mention that in the rejection.
I thought the database of Ingress (Niantic Spatial, Inc.) and Niantic Inc where already separated
I’m so confused right now
I’m going to look/read further on this forum for more info about this and maybe wait until the databases are 100% separated
Thanks for the clarification
Thanks, this also helps
I’m indeed a bit confused my this
I’ll take a look on the submission map again with this new info
The separation has just happened.
You are only able to nominate “wayspots” through PoGo at the moment.
There is a map that shows all waypoints but due to the split this will no longer be updated for PoGo, we are hoping that Scopely will give us a map in the future but we will just have to wait and see.
If you search “Pogo Map Info” there is a 3rd party map, this can show you the S2 Cells but does not use Live data, only waypoints that have been added by the users so its usability depends on whats reported in your area.
