I recently added a pokestop but placed it slightly in the wrong position how do I move it.

General advice:
If the pin is not on the object/ place then you can move it.
If it’s under 10m (think that’s correct) then you can do that through the game as an edit.
If it’s further you can use help on the your wayfarer page - an orange bubble appears bottom right.
If the pin is on the object then you should not move it as it could land you in trouble.
If you are unsure please do post information about the wayspot here and experienced wayfinders will try to help you decide if a move is appropriate.
So I can move the poke stop by myself without having to go through the whole thing again? Is it quite simple to do as I’m still finding it difficult
If its a small move of less than 10 metres, you can do it in game, like this. You need to be at the location to do the move. It will go into community review so may take some time to get the decision
I would recommend checking that it won’t disappear due to moving into an occupied cell. Also ensure that your edit makes the map more accurate, rather than less accurate. If in doubt you can ask here and we will help
If the move is for more than 10 metres then you’ll need to log into your wayfarer account and then use the help function. You can take some pictures to give proof and write to them with all the information. The decision would be pretty fast, within a few days

I think you have to be level 38 to do an edit through Pokemon Go, even though you only have to be level 37 to submit, if you aren’t seeing those options. You can still use help chat as was explained, if you can’t submit the correction in game.
I want to stress again that you should only do the edit if this is a real life correction and not just to get the pin into an empty L17 S2 cell to show up in Pokemon Go. That would be abuse.

You make the change as a suggestion.
It then goes to the community to see if it is an acceptable change if done through the game.
If done via the help bubble it is the Niantic staff who decide if it is an acceptable change.
