Multiple disc golf baskets report rejected

City: Queenstown
Country: New Zealand
Wayspot titles & locations:

  • Go With The Flow hole 12 (-45.039682, 168.659847)
  • Southern Exposure hole 11 (-45.039861, 168.658731)
  • Queenstown Frisbee Golf (-45.039847, 168.659257)
  • Hole 6 (-45.038056, 168.657580)
  • Bay Boulder hole 7 (-45.038328, 168.657216)

Just trying to follow the official advice & have only one poke stop for a disc golf course, only have all of my suggestions rejected. “Wayfarer regards the whole course/play area in each sport as one field of play. This means there should be one Wayspot, which could be the first tee or a marker at the start to represent the whole course” This is a botanical garden with some amazing sculptures & artwork, so it’s really a shame to have poke stop “space” taken up by all the different disc golf baskets.

This is the map outlining the entire course, so makes sense for it to stay as the one wayspot that is kept. -45.036605, 168.660278

Rejection Emails:

Welcome to the forums

Disc golf seems to cause the Niantic staff considerable problems despite the very clear official advice about one-wayspot-for-the-entire-course. There have been several recent threads from people whose removal reports for multiple disc-golf wayspots were rejected (including me).

When I was doing these often, I would report the whole course at once on one of the reporting forms and had much better success than doing them one at a time, fwiw.

Also their “action” back then was to keep the Wayspot but remove the game location. Which I found to be an interesting choice.

Thanks for the appeal, @2SKUX! We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspots in question.
