I have nominated two pokestops. Both are marked as ‘accepted’. One has appeared on the map (thank you). The other, I imagine, is pending.
Unfortunately, I notice the one not yet on the map has a typo. The word “reading” should be “leading”. But I cannot find a way to make the correction. I have browsed this forum but I cannot find reference to this situation, and since the pokestop has been accepted I can find no reference to appealing on the contribution page (or any place else).
It would be a shame to see it published with a typographical error, even though it is a minor one. How can this be amended? I can see no way to alter anything.

Once your nomination has entered voting, it is locked and no longer available for editing. This way, everyone who votes on it is voting for the identical image, words, and location.
After your nomination is accepted it becomes available in the Lightship database and various games can then feature it if it meets their rules.
From there, the wayspot is eligible for editing from Pokemon Go or Ingress.
If you are unable to do the edit in game, you can ask Help Chat from the Help Menu on the Wayfarer site at Niantic Wayfarer then tap the text box.
Pokemon Go has a daily sync where any accepted Wayspots which are eligible to appear in that game go live. It may miss the cutoff for the day it is approved, and sync the next day - unless sync was delayed for some reason, which does happen sometimes. If it hasn’t appeared after a couple of days, it probably does not meet inclusion rules (but there could be other reasons).
I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the Lightship database, which can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. If you would like to give us the location and title of the accepted Wayspot, someone will be happy to check and see if it is eligible for inclusion as a Pokestop or gym. Even if it isn’t, it could still be used as a Powerspot.
Congratulations on the acceptances! Sorry about the typo and I’m glad it was approved nonetheless.
If you make your contribution in game and immediately upload it (not using it he “upload later” feature) you have something around 20 hours to log into the Wayfarer website to review your submission. I always double check my spelling, grammar, and overall content there - but I still make a lot of mistakes!
