Not long ago my stop was approved. But the stop didn’t show up in the game. So when I went to the place, I checked that the poi was created (red circle). Obviously the cell of the place I submitted doesn’t have another stop at the moment. I wonder why this isn’t a stop.
iitc is no longer updating with wayspots, and could always not show all of them - only portals.
it appears to me that the ! beneath the one you circled would be in the same L17 S2 cell as the circled one. are you sure there isn’t another one in Pokemon Go? your nomination map screenshot doesn’t show the whole cell.
i really wish we had a way to check current wayspots, but we don’t. staff can, but i don’t think that they can mention S2 cells. it may be in their contract.
you said “not long ago” - how long ago? if it has not synced in yet, it will show this way as soon as approved. if it was yesterday, it could sync in today.
I’m aware of the sync issue, so I always visit the site to check before submission. The only way to check the latest poi on the map now is to run pokemongo and press the stop submission button to check the poi that appears on the map and find the coordinates there. (So I noticed that the stop I submitted didn’t appear on the game.)
I received the stop approval email on 7/30. It didn’t show up after 5 days so I went to check.
The surrounding !s signs are all powerspots, generated by Niantic in the past and not Stop (Stop’s sign looks different)
I’ve created over 400 stops so far. I’ve definitely done checking my surroundings before submission.
look the whole cell, the blue poi in the cell is the cell that in game disappeard.
The Wayspot was moved to its correct location during voting. The current and correct location of the Wayspot doesn’t meet the criteria to appear in Pokémon GO.
After a nomination is approved by reviewers, there is an additional automated review that determines whether the nomination is an appropriate fit for each particular Niantic game. Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another.
The most common reason that an eligible nomination is not added to Pokémon GO is because the nomination is too close to existing PokéStops or Gyms.
Where is the location of the stop I mentioned in the post?
Is the location of the stops on the map that appear when I press the stop submission button in the Pokemon Go game the final confirmed location?
This is very important in selecting objects and places to submit stops because I am submitting based on the information shown on this map.
I appreciate that a map helps decide on the priority you might assign to submitting something , but the actual location of the object is what matters.
Since your previous submission had to be moved by reviewers putting the pin at the wrong location not only will probably get the same response but it is likely to end up as being viewed as gaming the system which is not allowed.
i think the confusion here was that pogotools had been used to manually mark the position where the wayspot was submitted, so we were seeing a blue dot in an L17 S2 cell that appeared to be empty in your iitc screenshots. there is no notification to the submitter of the new coordinates when a pin is moved in voting. the ! in the nomination map screen will be where the wayspot actually exists. ty for providing the actual coordinates, Aaron.
