My wayspot has been flagged for abuse?

I hope this is the right place for this, I’ve only been on wayfarer for a week or so. I received an abuse warning on my wayspot and I can’t tell what I’ve done wrong to receive it but I’d like to know for future reference so I don’t make the same mistake again.
Any insight would be helpful!

Hello and welcome,

This text is shown whenever reviewers any of the “Abuse” replies such as 3rd Party Images / fake location etc.

In regards to the nomination it should not be accepted.

Worldwide, post boxes are ineligible. The UK allows those that are pre Elizabeth II.

Welcome to the forums

The “Abuse” rejection narrative can be flagged for a nomination for any of the following reasons

* The photo is not yours (e.g., taken from streetview, found on another website)
* The text itself is abusive
* The nomination is controversial and likely to be offensive (e.g., a mural of terrorists)
* Another nomination was abusive and all of yours have been flagged as a consequence
* The wayspot location pin is misplaced
* The wayspot is deliberately misrepresented (e..g., on school property but pretending it isn’t)
* (there may be others)

You may be able to tell which of these is the issue for this submission, but don’t worry about being accused of being abusive, as this isn’t what this narrative is necessarily saying.

I can’t see from the details you have provided what would have caused this to be flagged for any of the abuse reasons I listed above. I would simply have rejected as not “permanent and distinct”, which is a valid rejection reason and wouldn’t lead to the abuse flag.

However, as @SlimboyFat71 said, this postbox is not eligible. The UK is exceptional by allowing postboxes, but not EIIR ones.

Thank you, it looks like I put the pin on the wrong side of the road which is actually why it was flagged but I didn’t realise this post box wasn’t accepted!

Postboxes can be difficult, I had to make three attempts to get a pre EIIR box approved :frowning:

Without knowing the details of the area and what is already there, a misplaced location will be marked as abusive by reviewers if there are other wayspots nearby and this looks like an attempt to get an extra one squeezed in. It won’t generally be marked as abusive if in a barren area with no other wayspots and only a small location error.

It’s possible you have seen other EIIR postboxes in the game. They shouldn’t have been accepted; it is unsafe to use what is in the game as your guide to what is eligible. Even eligible postboxes (under the UK’s special unofficial rules) can be hard to get accepted.

There is only one other wayspot in the immediate area and as I’ve seen postboxes in game I assumed they were okay, however some commenters have advised EIIR aren’t allowed, which is my error.

As was said, most of the world would not consider these eligible, no matter which kind. They often struggle to get past the “automated process” rejection from what I have seen posted. (I don’t review there.)

I am curious if your email says this rejection was by the “community” or from “our team” if you still have it.
