no, it’s a pickle ball court, claimed by ingress years ago. many people have tried to nominate it. I haven’t tried lately so I forgot the exact wording but I will try to re-nominate it this week to find out.
if it is in ingress already, then it is a wayspot already and will be rejected if you resubmit it. would you like to give the location so we can check this out? or you can post about it in Bug Reports & Technical Support if you are certain that it should be a pokestop, too, or ask help chat about it.
oh do you mean that because of where it is pinned, then it only shows in ingress? that happens sometimes, but isn’t because ingress “claimed” it.
I agree the use of the word claimed here is not appropriate. It is a wayspot that because of inclusion rules can be used in Ingress. It can’t be used as a pokestop or gym because of different inclusion rules but it may be used as a powerspot if it meets that criteria.

Maybe they mean “claimed” as in: they created the Wayspot. Some people feel “ownership” over the wayspots they created (and maybe resentment if someone else created it first).
This site shouldn’t be changing, but I just noticed that it is.
I used to have some kind of title after my name, like “regular”. I think I earned it after giving my 5000th like? I’m number 14! Niantic Wayfarer Community I suspect that when my Ingress ID was removed from my Wayfarer account, my stats got disconnected.

This site isn’t changing. And nothing happened with your stats.
The tag of regular comes with being at trust level 3. I don’t know if you were at that level but it is possible to drop down to level 2 again - it doesn’t happen instantly.
So stats on here are only related to activity on here and not your wayfarer account.
It is easy to do a web search about Discourse Trust Levels to find details.
OK, must be that I’m not around as much lately.
I spotted a new key in my Ingress inventory this morning - a sync happened in the past 12 hours and all my new wayspots (and reinstated wayspots, which is where the key came from) have appeared in Ingress. Enjoying this while it lasts

@NianticTintino I’ve been helping someone in the bug topic. They just reached L8 in Ingress and when trying to log into Wayfarer for the first time, but they are being told their account isn’t eligible in Ingress. They don’t play PoGo, it seems, and the help pages have been updated to reflect that only L37+ PoGo players are eligible for Wayfarer now. Will the login page for Ingress only users be updated to reflect that they are no longer eligible?

I couldn’t find this posted in the forums anywhere, but there is a new Spatial email address. Right now, only removal requests can be done in Ingress, and I did one yesterday. The email address is came from is different, as it’s notices@recon.nianticspatial.com. If you are an Ingress player, you may want to add this to your email address book or safe senders list.

That makes it seem like niantic, the geospatial Browser and ingress will still have access tk the maps?
While there’s been no confirmation, this was something I was thinking could happen: Spatial holds onto the map, aka GSB, and Scopely pays them to use it. Spatial most likely could use the money, so having Scopely pay for access makes sense.
Again though, no official confirmation yet, so I’ll still take with a grain of salt.

I would be careful making any assumptions about very technical issues that were written by an outside person whose living is just to write articles and report on business.
