So, mostly just answering questions that have already been asked and answered with a lot of IDK.
For the Ingress-only users, I’m shedding a few tears for you.
Thank you for those who were involved in collecting the questions and pushing for the transparency as available.
Thx for the fish, TinTino
Im.an ingress user these days and long since retired from pogo
Thx for heads up on Pogo deletion
Hope it works for others
I’ll just wait just to be safe asi would want delete my pogo too asi want ensure my Recon numbers & upgrades are carried over to ingress
I recall people had Recon numbers disruption when asked one of games deleted from their login.
Thanks.
What specific question do you have on your mind?
Maybe we can collect for a second round
This is just a bunch of “we don’t know yet,” nothing concrete, which we were already told earlier in the Wayfarer/Ingress separation thread. Many asked questions similar, and staff answered with IDK answers.
Being transparent is providing more info that isn’t known yet, not info that is already answered.
I personally don’t have any questions that need to be answered, because most of these were already answered.
This is a bit of an edge case but as I’ve just used it as evidence for a large move.
Will we still be able to use splats as evidence after the split?
I guess these are just like other sources like gps tagged photos and links to news articles etc. so should be good?
@NianticTintino So when Ingress stops syncing to Wayfarer, and thus, Pokemon GO, will all of the portals that have transferred into PoGo from Ingress as Pokestops disappear? This would mean pokestops that have existed in PoGo from day 1 would be gone and need to be resubmitted.
I would give it a read through again, theres definitely some new information in there.
I did, and not much. Don’t assume that I didn’t read it, and know of the questions that others have asked and have had answered.
The original portals from ingress were transferred into the wayfarer database to become wayspots.
Wayfarer was game agnostic. And so the game of origin of all wayspots is of no consequence in this regard.
It is wayspots that are being transferred.
So those older wayspots won’t suddenly disappear.
“I don’t know” is a perfectly acceptable update and it is good to have information consolidated.
Let it assure people that these questions are being seen and taken into consideration. There are a lot of people who are navigating through this as their literal job and have those personal concerns at their forefront.
Unfortunately, a lot of this likely won’t move from “I don’t know” to anything concrete and keep in mind that promises made by one company/team would be inappropriate and can quickly change after the separation.
This has been one of my favorite hobbies for over 5 years, now, and I’ve been lucky enough to meet virtually and even in person some of my closest friends through mutual interest in this. It’s tough, but now is the time to be patient.
Please continue to raise questions, concerns, and ideas. Being patient doesn’t mean setting aside your feelings and being quiet.
Again, sincerely thanks to everyone involved in continuing to share updates, even the ones we need to be patient with.
How come the list of frequently asked questions doesn’t mention a map of all wayspots replacing IITC, as if it hasn’t been asked a hundred times?
And one more question: I’ve seen people use the term “Lightship-only wayspots.” Where exactly does Lightship land, and what would be the correct name for those wayspots after the split?
Where did I assume that? I suggested reading through it again.
Don’t start…
I look forward to the day when I can send candidates from Pikmin Bloom or Monster Hunter Now. And also from MONOPOLY GO!
I take it you’re making a joke about MoGo here, since it doesn’t use real world locations like PoGo and Pikmin Bloom do.

MONOPOLY GO! is such a great game that players might be able to submit one candidate after watching just 10 ads.
