Need clarification as to why my suggestion was rejected?

Hello all! I’ve been feeling trying to nominate this busy Little Free Library for some time now. I am not sure why it continues to get rejected, as there is one a block over (with even less description/on private space, etc).

This is placed so that it is accessible from the public sidewalk. Because it is situated between a few schools, and it’s on a quiet little cul-de-sac, it gets quite a bit of foot traffic. Not sure what better place to congregate and also play PoGo.

Thank you for your insights!

Hello and Welcome,

Is the property it is located on “Single Family Private Residence Property” (SFPRP)?

Niantic include anything up to the border, even items attached to a boundary fence is included.

Being on single-family private residential property is a solid reject. That includes the outside boundary.

Other wayspots breaking this rule should be reported for removal. Their existence does not mean it is OK, even if it might seem like that.

This is a multi use unit, the ground floor is a school and the upper floor has residences. There’s a little sticker on the little library that states the school name.

School Property is a BIG no…

“Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries.”

The streetview is screaming SFPRP, since the property doesn’t look remotely like a school. https://maps.app.goo.gl/MJ7HCtZ39NBquifk7

Doesn’t matter anyway - both SFPRP and school property (*) are absolute rejections.

(*) shcools targeted primarily at persons under 18 years of age. When the word “school” is used to mean post-18 education, there is no exclusion.

As you are new to the forums I am going to assume you are also new to Wayfarer.

Reading the following may be enlightening to what is / isn’t eligible.

Do please ask any questions. You could also ask for advise on you next nomination before uploading it. Many people here have years of nominations and will advise whether your nomination is a big No or even what improvements could be made to increase your chances.

Good Luck.
