I live in a highly residential area and looking for advice and creative ideas from anyone that had similar problems. Due to living in an area extremly covered by private property there is little to no access to Pokestops. All the businesses have Max locations, some homes have Max locations. The closest property nearby that is public property are schools but as I understand even if the property is open for public use after school it will still be rejected.
-From me the closest Pokestop is a minimum ½ mile, depending on where you live in the community the closest could easily be 1 mile.
-Due to the lack of Pokestops creating safe routes is difficult to impossible.
-One Pokestop is in a questionable location due to homeless and homeless fights but I do not want to report because of the lack of Pokestops
-The one small Park & Pool has a Pokestop nothing else major nearby.
I just need help because some of the streets and intersections can be dangerous due to the volume of traffic.
Hello and Welcome,
Please supply the GPS Co-ordinates and I am sure people will make suggestions.
Unfortunately, some areas just don’t have that many places to nominate.

I am trying to get an overall view without my location but a street view has been added. I am trying to find decent things to add without just throwing random things out there hoping something sticks.
Residential areas just don’t have a lot of property that isn’t SFPRP - single family private residential property - and SFPRP is ineligible. Is this the park pokestop you were talking about?
This map I am looking at no longer updates since May 23 of this year, so I don’t know what else might exist since that date. But if that pool is not submitted, it should be. And if that is a clubhouse in front of the pool, it could be a separate nomination.

Thanks that isn’t the park, those are townhomes. I recently tried to do another nomination for that area and it was rejected. I will try editing or adding another there. The Park & Pool I am talking about would North East, maybe ¾ to 1 mile from there.
Welcome to the forums
Your rejection could be of something that is eligible, but there was something wrong with your nomination that caused it to be rejected. If you think it is eligible, not just a hoping-it-sticks, then you could share the details here for advice.
Cajun Seafood & Wings? 4.6 on Google…
Here? Huntington Village Pool & Park
The adjacent taqueria would be worth investigating for submitting in itself or for art inside if there is any. As well as Costa Del Sol across the street.

I am still fairly new to nominations, can you nominate places that already have Max?
It’s not something I have done but I am pretty sure that Max locations can be submitted if they meet criteria.
I am sure someone will confirm / correct me.

I also live in a suburban area and there is nothing to submit on almost any residential roads around here.
Look for restaurants you’d choose to visit and meet a friend at - those can be eligible as a place to socialise. I saw there are restaurants across the area so hopefully some of those qualify. If they are already an imported power spot, they can still be submitted as a stop if you want.
If there are public pools and tennis courts, those can be submitted too. I can see pools and courts on satellite, but I don’t know your area to know what is at a house and what is public.
If there are stores nearby, they might have artwork or noticeboards to submit
Yes. BUT.
Some powerspots are created from wayspots which were too close to existing pokestops/gyms. These obviously cannot be resubmitted.
Some powerspots are created from an import of businesses, most of which are not eligible to be wayspots because they don’t meet criteria.
I haven’t come across a single powerspot in my area which would be eligible to be a wayspot.
The ones that are actually on peoples homes can not be nominated but others can be if they meet the basics.
Paging @BlameJamal as he likes the google car and is familiar with this type of housing.

I assumed the OP was talking about the location that I suggested, “Cajun Seafood & Wings” which I would suggest would be OK to submit?
It is confusing which can be submitted.
You can check for Wayspots that exist but are not Pokestops or gyms in the nomination map screen with the toggle on. You have to be on location for it to work, but those will show as exclamation points. You can tap on the exclamation points for more information.
If the Wayspot was imported just for the purpose of being a powerspot, yes, you can submit it. Those wayspots looked like this when imported.
Those can be nominated
if they meet criteria and will not be seen as duplicates in the review process. But these imports often do not meet criteria.
If it is a Wayspot went through the normal Wayfarer process, then the unused Wayspot will look something like this.
It can sometimes be confusing since people can add photos and text to the imports, but this is how you can usually tell.

My area has a few, I found a football club yesterday, with different pitches, 1 stop and a couple of power spots. I also found a gym/health club that was only a power spot!

Thats what I wondered too! Didnt know what it was but it looks like green space
Are these courts public? Seems to be a row of parking next to it so possibly?
Apology if these have already been mentioned already. I had a look at the Ingress Intel Map with the OpenStreetMaps view of your area and found that there some things that are in the below images that could be nominated and should, in principle, be eligible. I could tell you what they are, but probably requires local knowledge to determine eligibility. There’s at least 1 temple and 1 mosque that I have seen that should be eligible, but will let you decide whether they are submission worthy. I have also seen a couple of Basketball and Tennis Courts that are eligible as well.
