Yesterday I was in the brand new San Diego terminal, to which there is scarce amount of stops and 0 gyms unlike any other airports I have been to. I spent a nearly 2 hours making new nominations, majority of which meet the criteria. In the most part they were art pieces, directional & informational signs (not gate signs etc) and welcome signs (all different obviously), which are all access to the public and spread apart so they aren’t in the same cell (not intentionally). To my surprise every single one so far has been declined, and I did more than 12. Only 1 of those I did before my departure and was the only one that was accepted, but all of the ones on my return were declined and I only submitted them yesterday. I want some clarity as for some reason I cannot see the reasons for the denial. It’s very frustrating, not just because of the time I spent nominating them, but every other airport I have visited, big or small has more stops and gyms than this one! I don’t understand!
Edit: I’ve added some of the nomination photos for context
No I think the motorcycle, directory and the time art can be resubmitted after taking different pictures and cropping. But that San Diego one might need an appeal.
It just blows my mind that I now have to go back and do it again! Like I don’t live at the airport, but this was an automated decline. It laughable really. Just makes me not want to put effort into making the community larger. I’m for the people. Super unmotivating.
I see that @elijustrying had requested screenshots of the full nomination from your contributions page to look at the full nomination and share their opinion on the improvements if any.
We have some really experienced Wayfinders here and they are great at helping others improve their nominations. I’ll leave this part to our wonderful and ever so helping community.
You have the option to appeal your submissions if you believe they meet all guidelines.
I sympathize. If it’s hard to go back it may be a use case for appeals rather than for resubmissions. You have a limited number at a time but they will replenish eventually.
Looking forward to maybe using some of these wayspots some day!
