I did over an hour ago? Can you not see them? I replied to @elijustrying with them ;(
We only see the full nomination of the art piece.
They only asked for 1? ‘Could you post one of those rejected in full please.’![]()
Hi
It is deeply frustrating when Emily rejects and there is very little to go on. Been there, and got the T-shirt.
Emily works in mysterious ways, and we just have to go with that. When Emily isn’t working we suddenly see lots of poor quality - so I assume that actually the system gets it correct most of the time. The same happens with human reviewers.
Appeals are there for when we feel there has been a wrong decision.
We can give our opinions here as to whether what you have submitted is worth pushing to appeal.
I like the interwoven time it should stand a reasonable chance on appeal.
I like the look of the large San Diego picture - but need more details.
The ones with peoples heads are unlikely to be acceptable.
It is hard when you have a brief visit and are trying to submit quickly.
Sorry that was my fault as I just wanted to get a sense of what had been rejected.
Hi again, thank you for getting back to me, so i went through the nomination photos for the actual stop not the surrounding area, and only 3 of the 12 i submitted, have a human in the photo but accident of course. (The surrounding photos obviously do have humans in them because they are surrounding photos, I do not know or understand if that would be a a reason to decline). But the other 9 do not. Is there anyway you are able to look at my submissions, or is there someone you know who can quickly review them. I understand the large San Diego picture needs more details, but when you see a mural on the wall for example, there is no context… its just a mural, unless there is an information plaque next to it, so what separates that nomination.
We are fellow wayfinders so can only see what you actually post here. Leave out the ones with faces. Faces in supplementary are essentially ok
And post like you did for the interwoven time.
I have just attached all of the ones which have been declined without human interference. 2 are still in que which I expect to be declined in the nature of Emily.
In response to yourself being a wayfinder too, I was wondering if the team like @NianticAaron would be able to help as I explained prior.
I’m thinking the ai must reject airport waypoints or indoor waypoints (though ive defo had it door ones make it to voting), because its weird they all got rejected by ai. Id have accepted a fair amount of these (havent looked at all the ones you posted just the rejection reason)
Thanks for your input! Do you know if once I submit an appeal it goes to real people to asses them ![]()
Personallyi am not sure with the one with child face. Is it even painting? And whats with light up beach sign?
Appealed nomination will be reviewed by staff
I didn’t install them in the airport but they are items that qualify as a nomination. The painting one is on a canvas, but it could be print or painting, since its elevated you genuinely cannot tell. With the light up beach sign, I don’t think the question your asking is about the nomination but about the actual instillation itself, to which I would direct you to the San Diego airport customer service desk. ![]()
We have observed that the automated process tends to work at 24 hours (ish) after submission. If those still in queue were submitted at the same time as the rejected ones, they will probably get to human review. Probably community review, but don’t worry if they go into Niantic review.
If no one has said it yet, Indoor nominations can be hard. I would suggest to use a GPS Map Camera app for your supporting photos.
Many reviewers don’t like not being able to see the location photos were taken. Using this can really help with not being able to see objects from space or streetview.
This playground was under a canopy of trees so I used it to confirm that it exists where I say it did.
