Why not restore something that is available for everyone to explore and enjoy?
Seems more interesting and playable as a wayspot in mine opinion.

You need to understand how community review works. There are things that local people appreciate more than people in other countries. I dont see the full submission of that showcase but i guess he give enough information for people to accept. I dont know how this is approved. But other than that, we also have voting ring. Some people tend to approve anything in the their area, but wayspot approved this way have high chance of being removed later on. Not only that, everyone participated in voting ring also subject to abuse ladder system.
Trail marker in particular, is one of the hardest to approve (i also have difficulty submitting this)
Funny to come across this, the yellow dog sign is actually my nomination that was indeed accepted. We do not have a voting ring here, since I don’t know anyone in my area who uses Wayfarer, as for the nomination, in the supporting picture there are some benches nearby so this is a good place to socialise with other dog lovers.

I also have see them restore dogparks in appeals, and also get removed.

Surely everyone in the Netherlands would love to see cycling trails sign getting accepted in the netherlands just like in the UK.
Where its possible to have fun exploring long distance on bicycle.
We need a more transparent guidlines and critiria thats for everyone the same.
Why would I wanna remove my nomination? I nominated it in the first place so of course I want to keep it. And I don’t know what you are talking about because in my area every cycling route is a clear wayspot which I have proudly worked on to get them accepted.

Most cycling trails are removed, only ones left are whit a full name, or a map.sign

Distinct and not distinct sometimes subjective. There are many grey area, thats why wayfarer are encourage to use their best judgement.
Took me 3 times just for simple gazebo to be approved. This one doesnt need to be fancy, but people still want it “distinct”.

Every cycling trail with numbers, maps or something else is approved here in my area. Since I live in an area where these routes are always accepted I can’t imagine what it would be like if they get removed or rejected.

But if the prefer empty areas while there could have bin great legit locations.

If you believe the candidate is valid, you can resubmit. Like i said. Sometimes different time might have different result. Thats just how community review works. Sometimes u met some people who are just hell bent on rejecting everything. Or someone picky enough to reject if your orientation is slightly tilted. Its part of community review. U can embrace it and resubmit with better nomination or give up. Like my example, even some things that suposed to be slam dunk need multiple submission.

I am going to unlist this topic as it has become very confused.
Your original post had pictures from a wayfarer showcase and these have been subsequently removed.
The post exchange around that is now confusing.
This forum does not welcome posts where other wayfinders efforts are are pointed out as poor examples.
I understand the point you were trying to make.
Could you create a fresh topic with a more relevant title so that you can raise your issue using your own wayspots please.
