So out of the 7 powerspot so far in my area, 2 are eligible under wayfarer criteria. 1 other may be eligible as it is a mini business centre with a chain store but other businesses also.
The others are a flower shop, a solicitors, 2x tyre fitters.
To be honest, I don’t see any of the ones here being reported with how long it takes to get anything passed as a wayspot and with the amount of rejections for eligible Wayspots.
I’m actually hoping the Power spots are nothing to do with wayfarer because it has actually given life to the game again. I’ve seen more players out today then I have seen in months.
Granted they are not great places. It it makes it a hell of a lot fairer in smaller towns and villages that normally have nothing.
Hopefully a big shakeup of the eligibility rules but I doubt it. I expect some of them will disappear over time but nice to see the community lively again.

It’d be nice if wayfarer asked us to submit businesses, generic or otherwise, and they could issue guidance on them for reviewers (or tweak the ML), and then use those spots. At least they wouldn’t be just someone’s house that way.

Yes, I agree with you on that. If I see a house, school or emergency service being blocked I’ll report those myself.
Kinda lost interest in submitting and reviewing over the past while. Had a few good wayspots rejected and waiting on another over 3 months now. Managed to get some new photos and descriptions up but that’s about it.
I’m just enjoying the game now.

I’m guessing as some would and some wouldn’t have pictures, to create consistency they went for no photos.
No idea, but I’d wait to find out. Don’t want to end up with nothing around here. If it was removed and replaced it wouldn’t be to bad. If you live in a rural area though and they are removed and not replaced you might have to drive miles to actually get one. It would be elites mark 2
To be honest, if they are trying to relax things a bit, I’d have no problem getting photos for all of them. That would actually feel worthwhile.

The one thing I did notice is that they have put something into areas of the map where there was gaps. It’s actually made an enjoyable game map around here because you have something to do in areas you wouldn’t normally have anything except catching.

I would very confidently say
- Yes, you can get dinged for that situation
- No, because the imported ones have not been added to the Lightship database so far, it will be a duplicate if the power spot got taken in from Lightship though
- Yeah that should happen
Noted-wont try to make this mess any better then if all that will happen is nothing, rejection or a ban
Given that’s the stance, I’ll leave all the single family private property stuff too- clearly this has nothing to do with wayfarer criteria
Got back home.
All Power Spots minus one that are generic businesses have closed down. The one that hasn’t closes down in a week.
There are two others that are formerly Ingress Portals only that have appeared, but I wish they had their photos.

I have no fundamental objection to the use of establishments that do not meet NianticWayfarer’s standards in Pokémon GO, assuming that they use establishments that do not meet NianticWayfarer’s standards. However, I do object to the designation of funeral homes and crematoriums as places to play the game. And if there is no item to report it, then I have to recognize Niantic as a company that lacks consideration. Can this be remedied as soon as possible?
Yeah I think adding a bunch of businesses to Go is totally fine, I just dont understand adding closed businesses, fake businesses, and sensitive/K12 locations as well.
I kind of think the idea of going to business locations to get this new currency is a decent one - just wish it was linked to lightship so we could improve stuff and see images etc

From what I’ve seen so far, you can report it through the game when at the Spot. Saying that, I haven’t actually checked so someone that has may be able to give clarification.
We can report it, but there is no Sensitive Location section.
