New waypoints being used for max raids

It is good to see ones i submitted in use.
But i worry about the PRP ones
And the impression that gives. My group are already just saying they are pokestops🤦🏼‍♀️

I can see a couple of power spots that are in the database as Wayspots, but the rest seem to be businesses, including several at private residential property. I’d rather see more that are from the database, and it would really be better if the businesses that were chosen weren’t ones that are at people’s homes. Our area isn’t exactly short of better options on that front.

Well these things are bloody dumb. Turned on and i have abour 7 in range, then myncharacter secided to gps deift a bit and saw about 6 more. Of the 13

2 (technicallyn3, but ill get to that below) are from waypoints not in game (i know of 4 more in the area i could see, so defo not using unused waypoints)

5 were on prp, the rest on businesses

But also of the 13

2 were not what they claimed to be at all. With one being a waypoint but the waypoit was about a killmeter away from where it was. The other was not a waypoint, but was a chain corner shop … from 5 miles away (at least, it was called spar, the chain shop, milngavie, which the area itself is about 5 miles away) and plopped on top of soemones house.

As for the prp. We arent alloeed to submit things like murals on walls or fences of prp, bjt these random portals can appear on anyones house randomly (or they might also have a business), hows that not breaki g the law in skme places, breaking their lost court case or jist breaking in gane rules?

the worst thing:

• if you live somewhere where the Community (aka teh dude that submits) has been working 1a AND there are no more than 1 thingie in a S2-17 Cell, you will end up with 0 power spots
• if you live somewhere where there are no Companies/Doctors/et al (the stuff Niantic imports from somewhere), you will end up with 0 power spots

I am at my work now, in a town, and several popped up. This afternoon I will return to my small, pretty saturated village, so I seriously HOPE there will be at least one power spot, but I fear the worst…
Or Niantic found yet another way to wipe their butts with people living in rural area’s.

But yes it seems like tje areas we worked to fill the cells up have almost no power spots but the outer areas have them?

Is that accurate for others too?

there are no Power spots where someone submitted “correctly”. Also there are none when there isnt any business or office or else.
Basicly my playing area does contain many Pokestops, many Gyms but there arent any Power Spots

Okay that makes sense based on what I saw in my village centre (where there was a push to fill every available cell if possible- and many things to submit), vs around my home which is very residential

Yep, that’s indeed what one of the nearer spots appears to be. Reached only by walking down a road that leads nowhere other than houses. Purely residential street

Edit: 2 of the nearer spots.

The first appears to be a performing arts company - well they arent training anyone there - its just a house, and google puts their location at a school about 1km away. The second appears to be a broken website with no availabile info online beyond the google listing that links to the broken website

I’m also curious why the few Ingress POI I’ve seen that have become Power Spots don’t have a photo on them.

I get the 4sq ones but…
