The emails still say Niantic as there are 2 companies still using that in their names now: Niantic Spatial, who handles Ingress, and Niantic Scopely, who handles Wayfarer. Since the last sync on May 23rd, the Ingress map and Wayfarer map are controlled by separate companies, with Ingress under Spatial and Wayfarer under Scopely. Yes, it’s a bit confusing that some of the same terms are being used by both companies, and we don’t know if this will change. However, anything to do with Ingress is with Spatial/Recon now, not Scopely/Wayfarer.
