POI Removal

There are a handful of POIs, all are in Ingress (about 9 of them) that are at NASA research that do not have public access. I am unable to get even close to them to do a removal via the scanner in Ingress. Is there another way to get them removed?
Thank you in advance!!!

Is the issue that the public don’t have access or there is no access to anyone including employees and possible residents of the facility?

Yes, the pubic cannot access them; most of them are inside a few outside the complex but the road is gated off, there’s no sidewalks, etc.

Ok. I would say it won’t be eligible for removal. If some people can get to it (i.e. staff and authorised people), then it’s acceptable. It’s the same as gated communities. As long as some people have access, it’s fine.

Ahhh okay, I always thought POIs needed to be accessible to the general public, thank you for the info!

I can understand your point, and I would to a point agree with your point of view. But unless I am mistaken, it doesn’t have to be publicly accessible, but accessible to some people who are authorised to be there.

For some more context, here’s the tooltip under Appropriate when reviewing.

I think someone who worked there years ago made the POIs and they don’t show up in POGO but they are in Ingress. It’s no big deal, as I keep Wayfaring, I keep learning new little things

Use them for the unique drone visits. :grinning:

Since they’re not in PokemonGo, it seems likely that the property owner asked for them to be removed from PoGo. They may not have realized there are other games, so only mentioned the game that worried them. But, for example, they’re fine for Peridot. So what if your creature brings you a flower from someplace behind a gate?

Oh! Good idea!
