This was a local bus stop I nominated & it got rejected. I appealed it & got a 30 day ban on both wayfarer & pokemon go. If anyone has thoughts that can help me that would be great. The reasons for rejecting the nom are not valid or accurate.

First off, regular bus stops are ineligible, as they are generic infrastructure.
However, there does appear to be an issue with the location pin and the plus code address. The map pin is around -1.2139925260275721, 36.958153628580966 in Ruiru, Kenya, which has a plus code of QXP5+C72. The plus code under the map is QXP5+C83, which comes up as -0.21397116106757824, 37.95831152677121 in Marimanti, Kenya.
As we can see, these are 2 completely different areas.
Also, at the pin location, which is where I assume this bus stop is around, the pin was misplaced by about 45-50m, as it looks like the bus stop is around -1.2141618020741791, 36.95777700355034. This is quite a long distance for a misplacement, and not a pin placement that can be moved by reviewers; misplacing a pin by a few meters is something that can be corrected, but this distance can’t be.
I believe that the structure being constructed on Street View from July 2024 is the bus stop in question:
You should have received 3 emails about the ban, and there should be an option to appeal it to staff. Staff may also send you a DM here in the forums with more info, but it does appear that this was misplaced, so the rejection reason is correct.

The location pin is definitely the issue which is strange. The photo you’ve provided is the right area. So that means my google maps gave out the wrong coordinates for some reason which isnt something I can do anything about, tech can be wonky. I confirmed that its the correct area when I submitted. If my map was that off, I understand why the nom was rejected.
My other 2 concerns would be:
- Why would the reviewers reason be “the photo contains abuse or ridicule of a specific group”. I actually reached out to support but they didn’t offer any help.
- If the map loaction was off, why get a 30 day ban? Should it not have been a warning at least, considering this isnt my first nom ever. I’ve submitted several sucessfully.
Can’t comment on the ban, as that’s up to staff to decide, and is noted in the abuse policy:
As part of that commitment, we enforce a punishment ladder against most types of abuse. This policy may provide offenders with disciplinary actions proportional to the severity of the offenses they perform. This means that a first time offender can be punished with any of the disciplinary actions listed below depending on how severe their offense was.
As for the abuse rejection reason, someone could have selected one of the Abuse rejection reasons under Accuracy. The most likely may be Fake Nomination instead of selecting Inaccurate Location.

Are you sure you never get any warning before? Its not guaranteed and wayfarer allowed to skip ladder depending on severity. You might want to read here for future. The difference is warning dont actually suspend you. Its just warning pop out everytime you login, so sometimes people dont really get the “warning”. People usually only realize the severity after getting suspension.
Anyway, you can appeal this suspension. Be honest and explain your best. Staff will check your previous nomination to decide the best course of action.
Anyway moving forward, double check the location. You can move the pin around before submission. If you dont check pin location before submission, the fault lies on submitter.
Staff have explained that this is the string that comes up as the rejection reason when abuse is flagged. It doesn’t have to be anything about ridicule. I hope they change this string to just say “abuse was flagged” or something clearer. It seems like the pin is probably the issue.
Thank you for the response. I never got a warning. I got a straight ban, I didnt even notice until I tried to go in-game. Its already after the 30 days though, so I was enquiring about what went wrong.

Your suspension was a result of in-game violations in Pokémon GO. It did not have anything to do with Wayfarer.
