I think you’re onto something here. Don’t refer to him as a local artist. Do say this was created by the owner.
To me “interactive art exhibit” seems forced. Be straightforward. It’s meant to show a living room from 1990. I hope you used the Facebook post referenced above in support. This is much better now. Good luck.
didn’t worry about the category, it really doesn’t matter.
main photos shouldn’t include people if at all possible to avoid and definitely none that appear posed and are identifiable.
for supporting statements there’s not the same strict rule, but if you have people clearly posing and smiling at the camera you’ll probably get some rejections. ultimately it’s your call which way you want to go with the supporting photo.
I think a better supporting picture could help. Show the nomination in its surroundings. Typically people suggest 80% background, 20% object being nominated. You probably can’t back up that much, but maybe you can at least get 20/80. To show that the exhibit is a defined area that you step into.
For me, it always helps to think of my submissions from the perspective of a reviewer - knowing that submitters at times stretch the truth, I always look for proof. You’ve developed a good description and yes, the photo could be improved, but a link to the website shown above or other strong documentation that this is a purpose-built artwork helps reviewers determine that you’re submitting a valid thing. Although Wayfarer has many wonderful, experienced reviewers who go the extra mile to search for details on each nomination, the burden of proof always lies with the person nominating - make the reviewers’ job easier, and you’ll usually be met with a greater level of success!
The powerspot? They normally rotate in and out at specific intervals. This one might or might not rotate back in depending on if it still meets the inclusion rules based on the pokestop at that location.
So, 1991: A Portal to Grandma’s Living Room was denied again, but it did get to the voting stages. I think I’ll try some more tweaks. Do you have any extra suggestions before I submit it again?
If it’s now been denied several times within a short period of time, it may be a good idea to hold off on submitting it again.
It is very possible this nomination is now being seen by the same group of reviewers repeatedly. If so, they now “know” that rejecting it is the correct answer as it keeps getting rejected.
