Title
Water Treatment Tanks - Chilkere Lake
Description
These are industrial water filtration units, likely filtering lake or borewell water for local use. They are essential for improving water quality and managing sediment or contaminants before storage or further treatment. This is near the Chilkere Park.
Supplementary
This is not just a utility tank — it is safely accessible inside a public park where dozens of people gather daily. The area around the tank is spacious and open, often used by joggers, elders, and yoga groups. It’s a permanent, visible structure that serves as a familiar reference point within the park. You can see the large open space around it in the attached photo. This spot fosters regular social engagement and contributes to the healthy, active lifestyle of the community.

Rejection Reason
Thanks for the appeal, Explorer! The nomination in question does not meet the Wayfarer criteria as these are normal Water Treatment Tanks, which has no significance. If this assessment is not accurate, please resubmit the nomination with additional context. We recommend you review the Wayspot Criteria and Forum Criteria Discussions Library sections before submitting your next Wayspot contribution: Wayfarer — Niantic Technical Support and Help Center and Forum Criteria Discussions Library — Wayfarer Help Center
Hello and Welcome @highpaudel
Not everything that is an object can qualify as a wayspot.
The water tanks are large and distinctive but they are not something you would go to to admire, or read information about. Neither are they somewhere designed either as a place to go to socialise or to exercise.
Because of that they are correct to reject these.
Are there other objects or places nearby that you are considering submitting and we will try to help.

These are not going to be anything people explore, socialise at or exercise at. That they are near an area where people gather does not make them important at all.

Got it, basically it is in the Chelekere Lake Park where people usually come sit or exercise.
So the park itself is an eligible place, and places like play areas or sports facilities.
If there is a signed walking trail around the lake to encourage exercise.
An information boards about the lake, nature etc.
Just not these tanks.
Is there an information board about water treatment?
No there is no sign as such just an open space.
Chalkere Lake, Babusapalya
I saw this one on iitc, but can’t read the sign.
Since iitc is a map of Ingress portals and no longer updates with Wayfarer data, I wasn’t sure if more Wayspots are here than this. The lake shape looks familiar, like we have talked about it here before.
What else is already a Wayspot, and what else have you tried?
That does look a nice place.

That I nominated couple of months ago, it was accepted.
The park is huge and given community around I feel it should have more stops.
I nominated a pond near the lake - it got rejected.
I nominated a community centre nearby and that too got rejected.

A community centre should be feasible.
Could you show us that nomination in full please.
Both pictures and the text ( if you can cut and paste the text it will be easy translate)
And where it is.
Apart from the basketball is there a football pitch or other sport?

There is a huge ground along with the basketball court where they play football as well cricket.
