I chose the “WCAG Light” “Color Scheme” and my highlighted button is blue now.
(I am much more comfortable using the forum with this choice. I can’t tell you why.)

Yes, it was a disaster! But I’m looking toward the interview of Doris, Fred and Aggie
It’s there in General category.
Thanks for replying @NianticAaron but I can’t see it. Could you set a link please?
i saw that one earlier and saw @seaprincesshnb sent a DM, which i didn’t see an option to do
this is what i see from the link you gave
I got that too
I’m getting an error when I try to view that myself, and it’s not showing on my profile as a created topic, nor can I see any of my comments on that post on my profile.
Please try this link now.
that one works and i replied there to test - ty for being so active in this forum
Got it! Thanks a lot
I wish “emails on” wasn’t the default setting, come on this is 2024
OK, let me walk you through a scenario. On the old forum, people would pop in once to ask a question. Lots of people would respond, some might even spend a few hours working on a response if it was a request to help find eligible things in their area. But then the person forgot how to find their way back to the forum because they were new. So all that work the community put in to helping this person just went … nowhere.
This way, the person will get an email to know that someone is responding to them. At that point, we know that every effort has been made to let the new person know that they are welcome and kind find help here.
On the flip side, all it takes is one email for someone to go, “Nope, I gotta turn those off” and then they can come here to find out how to do that. And then it’s done, they never have to touch it again.
but if you don’t remember how you got here, that’s a separate issue than receiving an email reply on something you’re already online viewing
It’s not, though. The issue is why would the forum be set to have emails on by default.
The scenario I described is one very real reason why having them on by default is useful and helpful to many people.
if i see the tag happen while i am here, i don’t get an email. just if i am away. i have not adjusted my email settings iirc
This. I suspect most users of this forum are occasional users that log on when they have an appeal or a question. If this setting is removed, the question will become “why isn’t emails on the default setting, I missed that my topic had been addressed”, and it’s just as valid as “being in 2024”.
Yep, there are separate settings for Email and Notifications.
Notifications show up in your name badge at the top right.
Right, was reply about
I should have quoted that piece I guess.
