Not an art

I submitted this and appealed as i thought there was a chance it could pass (and had an appeal to burn for now while im waiting for other rejections anyway)

I figured the rejection reasons would be generic or not permanent, i was not expecting the appeal reviewer to be critical of what an art is or isnt id argue photography is an art :rofl:

Whilst photography is an art, I would argue that the images that are on the wall, doesn’t signify a permanent art installation. These give the appearance that they can be replaced. I think the way the appeal rejection has been worded could have been better, but I don’t think this would be suitable. However, if there is information that shows that these are permanent, I could stand corrected.

Maybe less art snobs and more unconvinced that the posters are permanently placed???

Surely Niantic would say that if it’s what they meant

“Is this place a great place to meet until the posters are taken down next week?” Doesn’t quite have a ring to it. :grimacing:

An art is in the eye of an beholder.

Is that Davina McCall on the right?

To be clear i checked, the things couldnt come off easily. But i was only giving it a chance, not overly bothered by them being rejected. Jt was more the reason i was given i found funny, id have taken generic or not permanent, rathe rthsn it not being an art lol

Get used to the appeals team giving odd rejection reasons. However, posters are typically not permanent, so they technically are rejecting and saying “We don’t think these are permanent art installations,” not “We don’t think these are art pieces.”

Your art is not arting

Your art is not arty enough.

Funny how all of a sudden a Niantic reviewer knows what a sticker is but not enough about artsy stuff.
