Odd Sucessful Pokestop Nomination Bug?

Hi All,

Got a bit of an odd one.

I got a accepted nomination that was due to pop at max 24 hours ago. Normally when ive had them pop as a poke stop (Or not if the square is taken) itll still show up on IITC.

Ive got one that was accepted, not popped as a stop nor in IITC. I though it might be because itll only show 1+1 and nothing more but when i checked IITC for another local area squares it showed there was 4 stops (obv only one shows in PoGo) registered. So this still doesn’t add up.

The stop is:

Its been over 48 hours now as well. This is the IITC app:

Again not sure if it would be in the same square or the one to the right because its not shown in IITC either.

Any Advice/Idea?

Thanks
James

Hey, just by looking at IITC, your Wayspot can neither go live in Pokémon GO nor Ingress because your location is within the already occupied cell and within 20 metres of another Portal. It failed both game’s inclusion rules and is only in the database now

If it got placed or moved to the orange circle, that’s why it’s not going live

Ah the map makes it clearer but that doesn’t make much sense for it not showing as this is the other local place and check this square out

Good to know though.

Thanks

More than one portal (i am going to say portal since you are looking at a map of those) could be forced to also show in an L17 through edit abuse in the past. The game did not recalculate the Pokemon Go status after a location edit. This has been corrected and should not happen anymore.

More that one Wayspot can also be live in Pokemon Go in the same L17 cell (but won’t show on that portal map) if it is a sponsored stop. There are no inclusion rules for those.

As far as I can tell, no wayspots among those shown in your screenshot break Ingress’s inclusion rules so I’m not sure what you are pointing out?

I thought they were saying that multiple of those were live in Pokemon Go.

Sorry for the delay,

So I understood already that its 1 stop per smaller cell so the gps of it explains now its in the same square the 2nd problem I didn’t know was, so far every waypoint ive nominated, all still showed up in IITC so I could check. This was the first one ive noticed that didn’t appear in pogo and didn’t appear in IITC.

Your first reply mentioned it has to also be 20m away from other waypoints or “Hubs” for ingress rules but in the second screenshot there is a small square with 4 waypoints (one of which is a pokestop) all certainly within 20m of each other and yet it still shows all 4 of them in IITC.

Could you explain a bit further please?

None of the Wayspots in your second screenshot are within 20 metres of each other. The black circles (20 metres radius) would need to overlap with the centre of the orange ones to make them ineligible for Ingress. Your examples are very close, but normal.

They are not within 20m, as @kawin240 said. They are all just outside of the dark circles.

Ah Ok, thanks I learnt something again today :slightly_smiling_face:!

I guess its everyone’s irritation but it would be nice to have a heads up on wayfarer or central Public DB for everyone to see why things aren’t appearing.

Thanks for the help all!

Np at all! :+1: But this is all rooted in community observations. I wouldn’t expect anything official as those rules are not published, for good reason.
