Hi there,
I submitted two places from a local park that got rejected. I wonder what can I do to improve both of them. I did add several supporting pictures to both of them. Unfortunately, there is no official sign at neither spot to make it easier for the system to recognize it as a spot.
Both the community garden and the free-dog area have official webpages from the municipality mentioning their existence:
What should I do? Thank you for your help!
For the community garden, try different photos to see if you can find something that the ML system will accept. It’s a legitimate submission so you want reviewers to see it. You could try appealing, but only if you included the links and feel your text is good enough.
I suspect ML struggled to see this as anything, so try a more focussed photo. I know that’s a woolly answer and you also need something that reviewers will like, but I can’t see what is wrong with that photo!
For the park I would do this sign, although that is for the whole park, if you are nominating the community part separately I would do a closeup of one of the huts, and note in the supplemental info you’re using it as a visual anchor
For the dog area, I see this sign near the entrance, is this indicating that dogs must be on a leash? If yes, surely there is a sign that indicates the other area to be for dogs, so you could take a picture of that
Thank you for your help. That was very useful.
I think I will resubmit, this time offering extra information and taking better pictures.
I have a better photo for the community garden, focusing on the gazebo/shed so it is more of an object.
For the doggy-area I will use indeed the blue sign that shows a dog.
I will provide for both submissions the URL and talk about the lack of signage on the extra information.
Fingers crossed!
Thanks

You may struggle with this, to me this sign is just saying that Dogs are allowed in the park but must remain on a lead.
You need something that shows that it is a separate area just for allowing dogs to run free.
Some “Dog Parks” have a location that will contain dog poo bags and info on keeping you dog under control etc, this would be better.
Are you able to take a wider shot of the dog area, something like the one below? This was one I submitted earlier this year and it was accepted, and I used this as the main photo. The supporting photo showed the entrance of the dog area next to the walking path and apartments.
Indeed I preferred appealing instead of resubmitting. Thank you!
Thank you for the tip! I appealed so I will wait to see what they say.
