There are clarifications on many types of points of interest. Here is the one for parks:
Thank you all so much. You truly feel like family, and I am proud to be one of you
Yes, parks are great. Especially if they contain any athletic fields (football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, tennis) or equipment, or play structures for children… and all of those can also be submitted separately. Table areas, community info boards, public art installations, and other eligible items are sometimes found as well.
In the US, it is not unusual to see local parks where every cell is occupied.
I actually have a pending nomination of a sculpture in one of my local parks.
Also, I spotted this area, if you recognize it. This neighborhood appears to have multiple football fields; if not attached to children’s schools, these are eligible.
Also, every mosque should qualify! A campaign to get those added would be a good way to engage less experienced people than yourself. A quality picture of the exterior of the building and any identifying signage should be plenty! Houses of prayer are a big part of the “socialize” criteria.
Well one of the first that i am looking in satelite view when i need more wayspot is park and religious place. Those are almost slam dunk unless got problem. Especially mosque usually have unique roof so its easy to locate.
Have you request edit ingame or help chat? I think its quite clear. If i receive that nomination , i would approve it in correct loc. Staff need formal request in order to move wayspot
I will work on this, and I hope to live up to your expectations.
Thank you all very much. I am trying to be helpful to you, and I will work on your instructions.
I will look into this. Since I am local to Libya, I can distinguish between these locations and verify the coordinates on the ground. I’ll make sure the waypsot is placed accurately and provide clearer evidence if needed.
It could be that someone took the pictures, then went somewhere else to fill in the submission… which you can do, but they pinned their current location instead of where they took the pictures.
I assure you that this location exists exactly where it was pinned. I am certain of this, as I am very familiar with the area. Now, I will see if my credibility and the accuracy of my submissions are valued here. I am ready to provide any further evidence required to prove its existence.
One thing that can help is using the web submit option rather than in game, which allows up to 5 supporting photos. You can then build up a picture of the area for the reviewer, to help them see its accurate - almost like making them a mini street view in 5 pictures
Also I’m interested - has the area had some noticable changes since reviewers from a wider area started helping? Have you noticed any new stops and gyms appearing?
Just to clarify, I am not the original applicant for this nomination. However, I know the area very well and can confirm its existence. If necessary, I am even willing to provide a video to prove that the location is real and accurate.
I meant the post that you had with location crossed out (the second comment prior to mine). But also as a general statement. Due to bright sunlight, it is common and acceptable that someone could take pictures at a location and then fill in the submission somewhere else. I was just pointing out that this can lead to location errors, if the submitter is not careful to move the pin on the map, since it defaults to the submitter’s current location.
