Even though Ingress is no longer syncing with wayfarer, are the number of photo upvotes that were in Ingress at the time they last synced still counted in the total upvotes (including PoGo) for the purposes of the main photo in PoGO and Pikimin Bloom ?

Nothing has changed so far so the current status is “yes” they’re still counting. I hope they’ll change that one day

I would also suggest that when they remove “Ingress” votes that they should also implement an auto “timed” removal for example after 5 years the vote is removed.
Example: 9 years ago when PoGo started people rightly voted (where photo votes even a thing then? ) for a “war memorial”. The council have recently renovated the area (new planters, new signs etc). If I take a new image the chance to overtake the old image with less players and no ingress is slight.
The Memorial is the same so do not see a reason to remove the old image but the area around it has changed…
